Painter Elementary School

I used to live in Los Gatos for many years and four of my older children went to Los Gatos schools, including the high school. I moved to San Jose a few years ago and my younger child is going to Painter Elementary school. My first impression of the school looks very poor and in a poor neighborhood. I tried to help and donated part of my salary to the school through United Way and my employer matching program. I came to recognize the dedications of the principle, Ms. Smith, the staff and the teachers such as Mrs. Nielson, Mrs. Pham and Mrs. Prado. Those are the 3 teachers that I know. I am also impressed with the generosity of the school and the school district. The children receive free books, supplies and even free meals. One regret I have is that I am not making enough money with my current job to donate more money to the school to help the school more.

Whole staff is very friendly. My kid goes pre-school there. My kid loves Ben Painter very much.

Staff is amazing! Love that kids eat in the class room for breakfast!
