Palm Beach Children's Dentistry

I recently switched from another dentist that I was less than thrilled with at my last appointment.... I was referred to Palm Beach Children's Dentistry by both my pediatrician and a fellow mama which was a good sign to me. I have taken both my toddlers to them for multiple cleanings and other necessary work and they have been AMAZING!!! I am so very impressed with Dr. Ameer and all of the staff who have helped us!!! They are kind, patient, positive, and gentle with my littles and just all around a lovely, competent, and talented team. My kids went from being afraid of the dentist to actually being excited to go!!! This has relieved my stress about taking them to the dentist as well. I feel that Dr. Ameer truly listens and takes the time to explain things and answer any questions or concerns I may have patiently and respectfully which, in my experience, has become too rare with medical care providers. I have been taking my three non-verbal autistic kids to Dr. Ameer’s since their fist dental visit and despite moving to a different county. I’m willing to drive 55 miles for all my kids to get the special care and treatment. The staff is extremely thorough and friendly and extremely flexible with creating a safe environment. They have a papoose for kids with severe behaviors like mine and my eldest had a visit a few weeks ago and did not need it. Also private rooms if your child has anxiety.

The staff and Dr Ameer are very friendly. I love that Ameer takes her time to explain everything going on. They explain what is going to take place and always ask if there are any questions regarding the visit. My daughter was about 2 1/2 or 3 when she started and although she put up a fight they made her feel so comfortable. By her 2nd visit she was very confident and went back alone. Dr. Ameer had gained my daughter’s trust. I appreciate them all for taking care of all my kids.

We have been going to Dr. Ameer for over a decade. Everything about her office is perfect. The staff takes great care of us and they are kind and are very detailed orientated. Dr. Ameer cares about her patients and it shows! My daughters teeth have been well taken care of over the years. It’ll be a sad day for us when she transitions out of pediatric care.

We have been coming here since my son sprouted his first tooth 9 1/2 years ago. We love this practice and their staff. We have 7 year old twins and have always been accommodated to have them seen at the same time. This makes my visits so much more efficient. Dr. Ameer has always been accommodating and understanding of our concerns. Whenever the kids needed a procedure they would let us back to make sure all was going well. I can’t say enough good things about this practice and their staff!!

If I had to rate this experience it would make the top 10 most stressful experiences in my life. For my daughter it is easily number one outranking without question a trip to the ER for respiratory issues. We arrived 10 minutes early to a waiting room with 3 broken iPads. We were told to pay in advance. We were seen 25 minutes late. We were seen in the private room. The girl who didn’t introduce herself and didn’t wear a name tag did nothing to endear herself to my three year old. She seemed nice and I wanted her to be successful but that wasn’t the outcome. She sort of demonstrated what she was trying to do and then tasked me with holding my screaming child still after failing to get her to sit in the chair. The whole process took over an hour. Eventually. This incompetent girl maybe she’s 19 enlisted someone experienced to help her and the X-rays were finally taken with modest success to the sound of my daughter screaming in anger and confusion. In the 7 minutes or so I spent with doctor Ameer she seemed competent and personable. It absolutely was not enough to make up for the traumatic experience which I worry will create a lifelong phobia for my daughter. The exact thing we were trying to avoid by coming to a dentist that advertises to be extremely gentle and child friendly. What enrages me the most about this whole experience is that it was completely avoidable. It was well documented that my daughter had never been to a dentist and was very young. They assigned her the most inexperienced and least competent person in the office and were completely inadequate in their response when this person failed to do her job. It makes me furious that they put this person in this position and then offered her no support for so long. It makes me angry for both her and for my young child. How irresponsible! The support that they eventually offered was not enough. She needed more help and much sooner. We shouldn’t have been left in this situation for so long. I am not an emotional person and nearly cried during this appointment. I left furious. No one apologized for putting us in the situation or said anything meaningful other than the person who saw my daughter was inexperienced which I already knew. It was truly an all around horrible experience.

I highly recommend Palm Beach Children's Dentistry. Great place! This was my son's third visit and he was so excited to go to the dentist. Our first visit was last year and I chose to schedule in the room where I could stay with him. Now he's so excited to visit the dentist that he goes back all by himself in the open area. Dr. Ameer is very thorough answering all of my questions and the staff is friendly.

Love Dr Ameer and her staff! I highly recommend DrAmeer. My boys love her and actually enjoy going to the dentist. Staff is amazing and everyone there makes you feel like family.

Dr. Ameer and her staff are very patient and caring. My son is disabled and has a difficult time with oral care. They have done so well with him that he now cooperates going to the dentist

My family has been going to Dr. Ameer since my children were babies, and we could not be happier with the care, professionalism, and expertise she and her staff have shown consistently since our first visit! It is fantastic having the peace of mind she provides us with—whether it be a regular checkup, or an emergency visit —of which she is available and addressed quickly, and with a TON of compassion that has gained my kids’ trust from the start! I can’t recommend her highly enough—kudos to her and her fabulous team for making visits to the dentist a painless event!
