We went to the new driving range with a close friend of ours, who is a better golfer than we are. We were looking forward to a fun time, and getting some pointers while we were at it. We paid $50 to rent a covered bay for an hour, as all the uncovered pads were floating like waterbeds because of all the rain, making it impossible to practice properly. We ordered drinks and food, and purchased large buckets of balls, spending a total of about $300 for one hour of enjoyment. Within minutes, we were told, very curtly, that our friend was not allowed to help us. We were taken aback, and told the person that he’s a close friend of ours, and they said it didn’t matter. There was no signage anywhere stating that your friends - or anyone for that matter - are not permitted to assist you or give you pointers while you were playing/practicing together. This is absolutely preposterous and a terrible business practice. We are not paying any pro to help us, so I guess you just aren’t allowed to have friends that play better than you give you pointers. Seriously?! We can go to Drive Shack and pay $50 an hour and get all the balls we want to hit for free instead of paying almost $20 a bucket, as well as enjoy our time with whatever friends we want, whether they are helping us or not. We will NEVER go to Sandhill Crane again. We had been looking forward to trying the courses there, but we would NEVER play there now. We are happy to give our money for food, drinks, and golfing with friends to Drive Shack or any other course we decide to play on who are happy to have our frequent and repeated business. Just a terrible experience where we spent our money to have a fun time with our friend ruined. Never again.
Beautiful course and very challenging layouts. We loved a lot about this course BUT the marshalls were really uptight and kept urging us to speed up our play... Except anyone who knows anything about golf can tell you that if the group in front of you in still on the green when you get ready to tee off, you're not playing slow. Some good manners and common sense can go a long way here.
Nice course! Enjoyed the round. Most employees were friendly. We were able to see some gators, which is always neat to see in there own habitat.

So pretty! It’s hard to believe it’s a public golf course. At first we thought it was private. It has a new restaurant! And it has a range and a putting zone. I love it!
We had both our wedding and reception at Sandhill Crane Gold Club. In terms of quality, service, professionalism, and scenery, it is simply unmatched! My husband and I originally planned to have our reception at Sandhill on June 6, 2020 but with the COVID-19 restrictions, we had to shift the ceremony to Sandhill and postpone our large reception. The staff Tracy and Avi, among others at Sandhill swiftly and flawlessly helped us navigate this last minute switch by accommodating our ceremony and a small dinner afterwards. In December of 2020, we were able to have a larger reception. The food was outstanding and the service was absolutely impeccable. The Sandhill staff does an incredible job of communicating effectively throughout the whole planning process to really ease the stress of wedding planning! They truly went above and beyond to create a unique and elegant experience for guests. I highly recommend this venue!
Be aware, 7:00 to 9 ft alligator spotted right in front of the driving range. Definitely keep your kids away from there! I reported it to the golf shop.
Very nice course, design is really interesting and greens are firm, no house around which is really enjoyable, gators still around , and proshop got really fancy suits !!!!
The lack of decorum on the part of the staff prevented me from giving this a higher rating. We were told repeatedly to step up our pace of play. We finished 18 holes in 3 hours and 54 min, under the 4 hours requested The course itself is fun to play but…
Nice and renovated. Staff is not that friendly and felt like a such a hurry.
