This Historic Cemetery has been an active burial ground from about 1732. Located in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia, the cemetery sits in the middle of the neighborhood, where the remains of many of the early residents of "Kensington" are buried.
The Kensington Burial Grounds, commonly called Palmer Cemetery is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit. The cmetery relies heavily on donations from the community and general public to maintain the historic burial grounds.
