I recently followed up with Dr Palmer after getting my hip replaced 3 years ago. Since getting my hip replaced I have done four mountainous hiking trips doing 100 mile weeks, I routinely do 50 mile bike rides, I am actively running and enjoy my Sunday morning 10 miler. The X-Ray done today reveals that the replacement looks as good as the day he put it in. I would recommend Dr. Palmer to anyone needing a hip replacement but I especially recommend him to athletes who are wanting to resume their activities.

Nice guy! Went over my X-rays with me, explained what it meant, explained the hip replacement procedure and expected recovery time. Answered all my questions. No pressure to have the surgery- left that decision to me. I left feeling very informed and so much less anxious about the surgery. I would definitely recommend him!

Second knee replacement surgery with Dr Palmer. First replacement was excellent and feels like my original knee..could not have asked for a better surgeon to perform replacement. Second knee just replaced surgery went well but to early to review but anticipate similar results!! Would recommend Dr Palmer to anyone considering total knee replacement!!
I was expecting severe knee pain for several months and finally made an appointment to see Dr. Shawn W Palmer. When I arrived at the Algonquin office everyone was very professional and the check in process was smooth and was quick. After an X-ray I met Dr. Palmer who listened to my concerns and quickly diagnosed the cause of my knee pain. An in-office procedure was recommended and that went very smooth and relatively painless. Twenty four hours later and the pain I was experiencing is gone. Very thankful I chose Dr. Palmer and I would highly recommend his office.
