Spoke with a few officers regarding an untraditional issue such as a portapotty and the sergeants, admin, and especially the Deputy were extremely helpful. Thankful for the time and support with my circumstances. Stay safe and you all are valuable assets to our community
Dear Palos police department Today my son and daughter got a tour of the police department. My son is 8 and daughter is 6. Both of them were a little scared of policemen. But after today they are not. Every officer and staff there were so great to us. We couldn’t be more blessed that sergeant Mike took the time out of his busy day to show us Everything. All 3 of us were so impressed by everything we saw. My kids will be talking about this for months to come. Thank you palos police department for everything you guys and girls do. Even though we live in Orland park, we totally appreciate everything you guys do. Thank you so much Erik Baran
This police station has an ongoing reputation of targeting minorities. I once was in the Starbucks parking lot 119th and Harlem and observed a young female police officer preventing me access to the starbucks parking area all because she was running the tags on all of the parked vehicles that were parked in front of the Middle Eastern Restaraunt. Then she had the nerve to look at me like I was the crazy one. No Bittch you are the crazy one for blocking access to a motorist who was trying to drive around to the empty parking spaces at the Starbucks. They are notorious for pulling over African Americans, Arab Americans, and Hispanics who drive 5 mph over the speed limit down the Harlem strip between 131st and 119th street. When I drive 35 mph I notice all the white folk behind me in my rear view mirror get all agitated and drive erratically around me and speed off ahead of me. That to me is proof that the Police Officers are allowing them to speed and drive over the 35 limit. I once was tailed by one officer on my way to work around 3 am. He followed me while I was in the northbound lane of Harlem from 127th to all the way to Archer and Route 83!?!? Oh by the way there is absolutely no black officer or any other ethnic minority on the police force. That should tell you something.
I work in Palos Heights.. when I need the police they are there in no time. They'll sometimes do a drive by to make sure all is well & are always super friendly.
As a minority who has dealt with this department; I've felt that aside from one low ranking officer they do treat people fairly, and with respect.
Another worst police department just like Tinley Park police
Please do something about the cocaine dealings at Mcdivots
