My life has become a Marin cliche. I didn't just buy a hot tub, but a specific Sundance model called "The Marin". Did you know that there are more hot tubs per capita in Marin than anywhere else on earth? At least that's what I've heard, I can't be bothered to fact check it. But it certainly seems plausible. I've had the tub for about 4 months which has given me plenty of time to soak in it and reflect on my experience with Paradise Valley Spas. BTW, I get the impression they want you to say "spa" instead of "hot tub". I guess "spa" sounds more elevated. Like, a "hot tub" is a corrugated metal trough that your uncle pours hot water in and invites you to join him. We first visited Paradise about a year ago. Because of a certain pandemic, delivery on hot tubs, I mean spas, were delayed due to Supply Chain Issues. It took about 5 months for our spa to finally arrive. Oh...get this. It came right during that 110 degree heat wave! I hope the shipping is a little faster now. My experience with Paradise, Randy in particular, has been fabulous. He knows EVERYTHING about hot t-- spas, and can answer every question you have. He helped us decide which model was perfect for us and what to expect. After they installed it, I had more questions that Randy was happy to answer. I can't tell you what a great resource he is. Friendly, straight forward and honest. Great experience. Here are some photos and videos of The Marin on my patio. I seriously love this spa. I use it daily, especially after a workout. It's got great massage jets. Oh, and there is nothing finer than watching the sun rise on a 40 degree morning while sitting in 103 degree hot water. Highly recommend Paradise Valley Spas. They're hot tubs.
Beware of undisclosed install costs $1605! I replaced my old Sundance spa with a new one, and brought in my old model detail so they could help me get the right match for my space. However upon install, the installers said the electrical didn't match up, and I would be delayed until a special electrician could come out, but they would work on it asap. A week later they hooked me up with an electrician, but now the installers said it would be three more weeks before they could come back out so much for helping me asap. It took a month. The electrician then charged me $1605. I didn’t budget for this. The cost of the spa install was in their invoice, and included a site visit and I showed photos of everything before I bought it so I disclosed everything. Sundance did not own up to a different electrical configuration that would be a cost to me. If customers don’t know what the actual cost may be for your spa, how can we know how to budget? Sundance has a choice to stand by the cost that I was quoted - which included installation, or to keep the full profit -- guess which one they did?
We highly recommend this store. Customer service was top notch! Dan was very attentive and knowledgeable while helping us pick out the perfect spa. Unfortunately, the address we want the spa installed is outside their service area but Randy helped connect us with a Sundance spa store in our area. Thank you for a pressure free no hassle experience.
We had an incredibly unpleasant experience with the purchase of our hot tub through Paradise, mainly related to the poorly designed tubs they sell and the subsequent customer service to deal with said tubs. We had a leak in the brand new tub that took multiple repair visits and a lot of follow up on our part to get resolved. And we've recently discovered that the control panel is not sealed and when multiple people are in the tub and water spills over, it dumps into the inner walls of the tub where the water sits. We are told this is how they are designed and to manage the water level based on how many people will be sitting in it. In addition the new cover they sold us is already water logged and showing signs of damage. All of these problems have shown up within the one year warranty. The repairman was incredibly unpleasant, refused to solve the control panel leak issue properly and at this point we are going to fix it ourselves because we are done dealing with this company. Just a terrible experience all around and we're left with a brand new tub that we feel is defective.
Randy was very helpful in assisting me with my purchasing my Jacuzzi j475. He gave me very detailed information on how to care for and maintain the tub. Responded promptly to any question or concern I may have. I would buy from him again without hesitation.
Drove all the way over there yesterday afternoon Sunday to a clock that said you were returning at 1030 today Monday. The hours on your website and door explicitly said you were open until 5pm yesterday. What a waste of time - guess I’ll spend my 20k somewhere else.
I purchased a Tacoma spa from Paradise Valley Spas in 2014. In November 2020 it broke. In late Dec. 2020 the pump and ozone generator were replaced. Now both have failed again. Arranging for repair has been very slow. It’s been about 6 weeks now and they say will be 6-8 weeks to get parts and god knows how long to get appointment to have them installed. Phone calls returned after many messages left. “So sorry. We are understaffed. “ also repair department understaffed. I left a negative yelp and got almost immediate call but so far I only have a cold tub. Ready to buy a hot tub? Think about who you buy from. Perhaps some one with more/ better staff and service.
We purchased our Sundance Tub on March 15. We were told a ship date of 4/29. Well they keep kicking the can down the road. Another week, we're extremely busy, Covid delays.... All excuses and then they ask for forgiveness. Poor performance and customer service. Haven't they heard that business is won After the Sale.
Do not believe the delivery dates or that they will be communicative. We ordered a Bullfrog - it was pricier than other hot tubs we looked. Paradise told us that because they were manufactured in the United States, there would be no problems with delivery. This was important to us as we were hosting a party mid June to celebrate graduation. The delivery date was scheduled about 4 months after we ordered. As we had not heard from Randy, we finally called him a week before our initial delivery date and he told us it was going to be delayed three weeks to the end of May. While we were disappointed, this still meant we would have the tub for our kids. Once again, we had no contact from them before the new delivery date so we called Randy again. Now, it is delayed until the end of July completely ruining our plans. So, look elsewhere for an less expensive model where they will reach out if any issues arise with delivery and work with you to make things right. I will update this.
We have been a Sundance client for over 20 years. The spa is so reliable that even when we rented our home twice for a total of 7 years with kids it still worked fine. But the best part of Sundance is the field technicians. They have been prompt knowledgeable and so patient even with less technical folks like me. Our current spa supporter is Dan. He is the best. Truly. Calls back quickly and knows all the old and latest system options and can explain it even to me. Hope he never leaves Sundance. Sincerely Jeff M
