"In 1925, Mt. Helix Park, was built in honor of a mother, for the families of the community to enjoy. A nonprofit, historic outdoor amphitheater and nature preserve located at 1400ft with an easy hiking trail, native habitat, 35 ft cross, & breathtaking 360 degree views. The Park does not receive government funding and is managed by the Mt. Helix Park Foundation, supported by donors, volunteers, and businesses in the community."

Excellent views of the beautiful mountainous area. Amazing tribute to a mother. Only a short ride from downtown San Diego. Well worth it. Plays and other events are held in the amphitheater in season. Beautiful landmark. A remarkable park with stairs, a small pathway to hike and the giant white cross centering the top along with a gorgeous 360 view of all SD. I love it out there. Beautiful place to visit and take in the wonderful views of San Diego. I love going here after work for a little to walk around. Parking is tricky but it's worth it to take the walk up if needed. This place has such a spectacular view of San Diego County. It is famous for the Big Cross on top. Parking is minimal, or you will park on the street. The road is curvy circle to the top. I can't believe it took me so long to check out Mt. HELIX. You can see the entirety of San Diego County from here. 360° views from Ocean to mountains! So beautiful.

A gorgeous lookout point that I love to visit every time I’m in San Diego. A beautiful place to share with friends, family and lovers. You can walk all around the hill to get a 360 view of the surroundings. It’s very popular for sunsets so if that’s your plan get there a bit before sunset to find parking and enjoy the park a little longer. There’s also an amphitheater at the top, it’s very cool… all made of rock. Some people go to workout, do yoga and meditation. It’s a peaceful place to go
