Been coming to this dental clinic for a long time. I'd say better than most other places I've been to. Too bad they do not take my insurance anymore, however, thankfully they take my husband and kid's insurance. The dental hygienist and dentists are usually friendly and good. My son did mention and say that he really liked the hygienist name Irena. He said she is really good at cleaning his teeth. Inside the clinic usually looks tidy and clean too. There have been a few times where things were billed incorrectly so watch out for that. It has happened a few times and I have had to call to make sure billing was corrected. The other staffs are usually friendly too. But, there is one bigger Caucasian lady who works the front check in desk who is grumpy and rude who I've encountered a few times. Not sure why she works as the front face of the clinic if she is that way. The last time I was at this clinic that same lady happened to work that day too. Same bad attitude. After I checked in, another lady walked in with questions. When that lady left, her and another male staff immediately glanced at each other and laughed at that lady who was emotional and looking for empathy. No remorse from them apparently. Update 2 months later, checked my kids in by a younger lady who was nice, but the rude lady was sitting next to her glaring at my kids. She rudely made a comment to me about my kids and we just walked in. This lady does not need to work in customer service. I am posting her photo. Too many times with her rudeness. It really is unnecessary. I don't know why she is so angry. For what? The one other thing I actually do not like is the orthodontic place, The Dental Specialists that they partner with and send their patients too. Not fond how that other place runs their practice when it comes to minors. It really made me cringe when I could not be in the room with my child who was 7 years old when they were examining her. They only acknowledged and called me in at the end of her appointment. So I'm not sure about that other place.
My anxiety was through the roof before getting 4 extractions. Danielle did a wonderful job at helping ease my tension even before the meds. During the procedure-it was mind over matter. I was not sedated, but Dr.Rinaldi III did an absolute superior job at numbing me up. Thank you, so very much! P.S.-Jennifer and the other professionals at the front desk are always welcoming & nice!
Apparently one cleaning here costs more than a year's worth of insurance premiums. That's a good way to not have independent contractors or self pay never use your clinic. Park Dental/Nicolet way over charge.
I can see why they have such a low rating. My daughter and I had been coming here for over 10 years to see Dr Leon. My daughter recently turned 18 and had an outstanding balance, which I as her mother was unaware. My daughter called to make an appointment due to tooth pain and they told she had an outstanding balance. I called to clear the balance so she could be seen. I was told that it had been sent to collections and that she can no longer come there. I told them that they have now lost me as a patient as well. Only in dentistry can you get away with that. You are a profession of greed! At least I work in nursing where you could never get away with such a morally reprehensible way of caring for people. I don’t know how you sleep at night. You disgust me and that’s saying a lot considering the state of the world.
I called to pay off my $98 dollar balance due fee to be told my account had already been closed. They basically told me I can no longer go back to Brookdental because they had already kicked me out. It's too bad they are too greedy. They surely lost a family of 6.
I visited Park Dental, as a 1st time customer. During my first visit, they took, full, x-rays, cleaned my teeth and diagnosed that I needed two fillings. I was informed that the price for fillings had, recently, increased to $500.00 per filling and that I should, therefore, bring $200.00 to fulfill my co-pay obligation. When I arrived, on the scheduled date of my appointment, I was asked, by the receptionist, if I'd prefer silver or white fillings. I asked if this would mean more money and, if so, would the additional cost be covered by my insurance. The answer was: 'yes, an additional $400.00 for white and, if my memory serves, $300.00 for silver - either choice would not be covered by insurance. I instructed that I'd prefer to go with whatever is included in the, quoted, $500.00 cost, for the procedure. After, appearing to re-read her instructions she informed me that, for one of the teeth, I had no choice but to go with the white, for, an additional $400,00 - uncovered by insurance. I've never had a person talk to me in such a way - as if to assume that I'm such a fool! They, also couldn't locate my file, it had been created under the name and address of my Son , who lives at a different address and, obviously has different birth-date, social security number, tel. number and address and has never visited their clinic or been one of their patients. I had read a large number of poor reviews on them but I figured there'd be no risk, as long as it was only for fillings. I cancelled that and all future appointments!,
I used to go to a dentist at Park Dental Brookpark and recently needed to again when I couldn't get an appointment with my regular location/dentist. The staff were warm, friendly, chatty, and took care of me efficiently and easily. This is one of their bigger locations so it's easier to get an appointment and they aren't quite as busy-seeming as their smaller locations. Park Dental does a great job processing insurance paperwork efficiently and accepts some DMO plans which many providers do not.
Do not go to this place if you want quality dental care, competent staff, and transparent billing. I have been going to this location for over 20 years, but it's nothing like it used to be. I recently went in with a toothache and was told I had several cavities that needed fillings and a crown. After getting fitted for a temporary crown, I was taken to the front desk to make appointments to come back for fillings and a permanent crown. At that time I was given an estimate of the total cost and my out of pocket estimate after insurance. I was told this would be finalized when I came back in for the fillings. 2 days later the temporary crown cracked apart and fell out of my mouth while I was eating chicken noodle soup. My exposed tooth was in pain, but when I called the after hours number the dentist on call told me it was not an emergency and I shouldn't have bothered calling after hours. I went in the next day to have another temporary crown put on, but this time the dental assistant tried to do it without anything to numb my gums. After crying and screaming ouch several times, I was finally given something to numb my gums as she finished putting on the crown. It's the first time I've cried at the dentist since I was a child. I had to go back to get the permanent crown 2 weeks later, and at that time was given the final bill of $1,400 out of pocket total, including fillings that are supposed to be done this Monday. Today is Friday 3 days before my next appointment, and they called me to say they made a mistake in their previous communication about the bill, and that the total out of pocket is actually $2,400!! A thousand dollars more than originally communicated. They apologized for their "error", but how were they $1,000 off?? And just telling me this on the Friday before my appointment? Not to mention the tooth with the permanent crown still hurts - like it's not done right. This entire experience has been horrible and stressful. I'm most likely going to report this to the Better Business Bureau as well. Hopefully no one else will have to go through what I experienced at Park Dental Brookpark. If you value your family and sense of wellbeing, do not go to Park Dental Brookpark. I would give zero stars if I could.
I had been a patient here for many years but have no left due to the terrible treatment of the office manager and front office staff. They had called and cancelled my recent appointment due to an error on their end. I did reschedule but cancelled a couple days prior as I had Covid symptoms and was waiting for results. After I was healthy and called back to reschedule they told me technically I was a new patient and they weren’t taking new patients. They were extremely rude at this location. I made an appointment the next day at the Champlin location where the staff were delightful and had not one issue. They just lost a family of 4 due to their rude front office staff. Do not give them your business.
I have been going here 40 years literally since I first grew teeth and am now too traumatized to go to any dentist. The scare tactics you weird dental people use make no sense. Why would you say to a patient "oh wow, did you know your teeth are very loose?" Like what is the point? Is there something I can do about that? Can I tighten my teeth? Last I checked, no. Or the classic .... which is it today guys.... do I floss too much or not enough? Or not well enough? I know, I need to brush in bigger circles!!! You have RDA's there who have no people skills at all and treat people like trash. I was also told I needed an expensive bone graft which was a huge nightmare although Park Dental isn't who did it but they insisted I needed it and referred me on to more problems. Just to get there, be sliced open and told the damage was too extensive and it wouldn't work but since I spent months trying to So then later on suddenly it worked great!! WOW IT'S SOME SORT OF MIRACLE RIGHT?!?! Lies. I firmly believe work is done that isn't really needed & how would we know? It's blind faith right? Oh my dentist says I have a cavity & we just believe it, why? Where did this expectation come from? They are no different than a mechanic & after all the nonsense I have been put thru in my life with Park Dental at this location, I have no doubt I have had unnecessary dental work and now my teeth are trashed because I am too scared to go anywhere.
