This school is amazing!! My younger brother attended this school and I had the pleasure of watching him grow up into a respectful young man. I know that it was his attendance to the ATA Park Karate program that helped shape him into the young man he is today. In fact he told me that being in the program helped him become the disciplined hard working individual he is today. Knowing that I decided to enroll my 5 year old son in the program when he was 4 years old and I can already see the positive changes in my own child. I would highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a positive activity for their child.
My son has been with ATA a year now & we are so happy that he loves it! The staff & instructors are awesome! They are hard working & dedicated to your children & adults alike. I highly recommend you stop in if you've never been there. You will not be disappointed. Everyone is awesome!
Great location. Amazing team! I attend ATA Scotch Plains yet attended a tournament here and was very impressed with the organized team and their happy demeanor!
My son has been in ATA Park for less than a year. There is such a positive change in his confidence and his ability to follow directions. The school is very supportive and involved. They really care about the kids in and out of the ATA school.
FOR THE JKD CLASSES Through the years, I'd studied other martial arts, but Jeet Kune Do was always that mysterious discipline that I never saw on tv or knew anyone that practiced it. But like every scrawny Asian kid that I grew up with, Bruce Lee was of course our hero. I'd come to grips with the fact that I'd never be able to find any JKD teachers, let alone any good ones. Fast forward to last year when I found some YT clips of something called the Wednesday Night Group. At first, it looked like a bunch of older dudes that worked insurance jobs, but, when you watch the videos, WOW! After getting sucked into another YT black hole, I found out that one of them, Sifu Raimondi, was a teacher just a few minutes away from me. I called, attended my first class--instantly hooked. What is apparent is that they care not only about preserving the principles that Bruce taught, but they truly care about your safety and getting you to a point where you can SAVE YOUR OWN LIFE, if put in the situation. JKD is no-frills; it's putting an end to a confrontation quickly. Or, if you just want to get in shape, the conditioning portion of the class run by Sifu's son, will make you question your life choices. It's even worth the tuition just to hear stories about the students of Bruce Lee. Bruce Lee! Nevertheless, it's all done in a learning environment where it's catered to your speed of learning and all questions are welcomed. Classes are two, sometimes three, times a week. You can come and go and reserve/cancel spots through the app. Parking is ample and classes are during the evenings at a later time so it doesn't interfere with my work schedule. Equipment is wiped down and there are sanitizing stations throughout. Check it out and see you on the mat!
My preschooler has participated in the tiger classes at Park Karate for about 4 months and we’ve already noticed a growth in his confidence and focus. I appreciate the flexible class schedules and that the owner is more often than not present and very active. Multiple sets of siblings are enrolled, it is obvious why this is one of the more popular programs around.
ATA Park Karate School is an excellent training place for kids. Chief Master Raimondi and Master Guzman are the BEST Instructors! The staff and student leaders are AWESOME! This program has been the most popular training and iy allows all of the kids to be able to learn about Martial Arts. My son loves ATA!
ATA Roselle Park is a great Martial Arts School with Amazing and Patient Teachers. Great Children's Program that teaches not just Martial Arts but how to incorporate real life lessons with skills you learn. They teach that's It's about more than Fighting, that it's about Discipline: Mental, Physical, and Emotional.
My older son went there for years. He loved it. Except that I noticed every 2-3 months there was a belt upgrade, and the fees just kept going up. After a few years, when registration was up, we told Mr. Raemundo we were not renewing. But our younger son wanted to join, so we did, plus we refeed my son's best friend. We were there for a few years. Then due to personal problems, we spoke to Mr. R and explained. He said no problem. But, don't believe him. Get it in writing. They are money hungry leeches.
