BEWARE! Alleys are warped and dry. There is a musty smell. Restroom sinks not working. Clear signs of water damage. Renovations are definitely needed. Do not go here if you actually expect a fair/decent game.
Best experience I've had at a bowling alley, I mean the ambiance when you walk in is WOW! Feel greeted warmly and get this feeling like yep this is the place to be!....All joking aside, this place is CREEPY. Let's start with outside as you enter. There's a posting on the Park Lanes sign that says RIP Jenny. Sets off a bad tone. My group continued though. Slowly approaching the building...beer bottles around the building, trash and sheets over the windows? I'm not sure. But I was thinking man, this place could be in Zombieland 2, if they ever filmed another one. Okay, so my group enters and from reading above reviews, it all makes sense, musty smell ceiling tiles missing, the arcade area wasn't lit had black mold I'm sure. The lanes were under construction? Maybe? Half the lanes don't work I'd guess. Wiring hanging out of some of the ball returns. Chunks of flooring missing in several spots. We played for an hour, the only ones in there on a Sunday afternoon. The ball got stuck at the return a couple times, maintenance guy came in looking very questionable. Covered in white powder, I assume he's doing the maintenance and whatnot in the building. The bathrooms half way work. Possibly busted water lines at some point? Anyway if you're into the whole living on the edge thing or what an opportunity to potentially get caught in a Zombie attack, I'd recommend this place, if you prefer modern alley, and very few safety/health hazards to be concerned with, I'd recommend elsewhere..
The owner Ron Speck tried his best to preserve the bowling alley but he purchased a nightmare Yes I did work at park lanes and Yes I left park lanes on bad terms but I must say Ron speck tried hard to preserve this place unfortunately it was to far gone it needs a complete renovation that would cost millions. My best wishes to the Speck family for trying to preserve the place.
My wife and I stopped in today, but sadly left in a hurry. Water everywhere, lanes were buckled from water damage and the smell of MOLD was horrendous . This place used to be so nice and awesome to go to. I will never return!
If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. We visited Park Lanes today while visiting family in Manafield. This place was awful. There were buckets sitting around collecting water, the floors were half way pulled up in spots and the "wood" peeling off of them, no staff in sight.. The lanes are so warped a top of the line championship bowler wouldn't even be able to roll a straight ball. It was a little after 12:00 noon when we arrived, and us and another group with two small children were the only people there. The guy running the show had utterly provocative music playing screaming obscenities every other word. Somehow he thought that was appropriate for families with young kids to listen to.. We paid $28 for a group of 3 adults and one child to bowl for an hour. After being there for 10 minutes and bowling our first frame, we decided it was a waste of time and were ready to leave. We expressed how disappointed and disgusted we were with the place and asked for a refund, which he refused to give us. We called it a loss and ventured down the road to Lex Lanes where we actually paid $4 less and had an amazing time there - very clean, family oriented, and friendly staff!! Thankfully they were our saving grace. Long story short: if you want to go bowling & get your money's worth, go elsewhere..
Honestly I've been going here for years but hadn't been for awhile. We arrived at 930pm for the unlimited bowling on a Thursday night. We found out they didn't serve food so we asked about a local place they had a flier for. We were informed that they stop taking orders at 9pm. We then ordered from papa johns but when the delivery guy showed up were informed by the manager we were only allowed to order from the local place because they had a contract and he was not going to allow us to have our already paid for food. I threatened to leave and was allowed to keep my food. Park lanes was open til one that night, refuses food not from the local place that closes at 9 and was downright rude. Explains why they no longer have a packed house on Thursday night.
Kinda empty and to some extent of makes you wonder how they stay open... Some bowling lanes didn't have any lights when it got dark but the workers there were friendly that I almost forgot about the light ordeal.
The lanes are all tore up. Good luck getting your ball to roll straight it has speed bumps the whole way down the lane due to the floor peeling up. Needs work done bad!!!!
We started to go the but it looks vacant with all the weeds growing up around it and very dirty. ....what happened to the good old days
Awesome Place to go for college night they have $1 Draft beers and Live Music, Also $10 dollar bowling all night! who can beat that!
