Park Ridge Golf Course

About

Park Ridge is an 18-hole golf course with practice areas. Park Ridge opened in 2007.

Description

By creating an 18-hole golf course on the closed Lantana Landfill, Palm Beach County and the Solid Waste Authority turned a useless piece of property into a popular community asset.
Originally closed in 1987, the Solid Waste Authority and Palm Beach County began construction of this unique facility in 2004.

Topping 85 feet at its highest point it just may be the highest golf experience in the County, and while heaven and earth was not moved to build the course, over 645,000 cubic yards of fill was imported to create contours and cover the specialized irrigation system.

The golf course which was opened to the public in March of 2007 has not only received engineering and environmental awards, it has also been certified by Audubon International as a cooperative sanctuary.

Awesome course layout, elevation change and a number of good dog legs. Pace of play here is terrible, unfortunately my low rating comes from an employee either having a bad day or power trip. As a paying customer I will not tolerate an employee being disrespectful, rude or ignorant. It speaks volumes about a business who allows employees to talk to people like that, spoke with a gentleman in the clubhouse about the situation, he apologized for the others actions gave me a rain check to come back for a better experience. You will have a great time playing this course cart guys, club house, starter , beverage attendant are all very friendly but only come here if you don’t need to be anywhere in a timely fashion 5 hr round minimum or run into the obese ranger with the American flag Sirixon bag.
Unusual Florida golf course for two reasons. Not much water in play and there are elevation changes. Very forgiving course.
The course has a great price and is in amazing conditions. Great elevation changes, fast greens and well kept tees and fairways. However, after coming here for more than 5 times I can guarantee that the pace of play is one of the worse I’ve seen in my life. People are extremely low and expect to have a more than 5hr round. I have never got to play holes 17 and 18 in park ridge. The rangers are a joke and extremely disrespectful. At one point there were 4 different tee times waiting on the same hole. When you call the rangers, the will do literally nothing and get pissed if with you for calling me. The way they treat customers is very poor and does not meet the minimum customer service standards. Not coming back here
Really fun course!! Highly recommend visiting Park Ridge Golf Course in South Florida. It's hard to find a tee time so I recommend getting the Palm Beach County yearly membership to get access before public.
It's unique and a special kind of golf course in S. Florida. It's always fun to play here. You get different kind of senses when playing Park Ridge: scenic, smelly, painful, exhilarating. Although some fairways are wide open but they can bite you with plenty of hazards. Some are forced-longs at tee shots with unforgiven hazards. The new greens are very good with relatively fast speed. It's always fun and challenging to play here.
A very nice golf course with spectacular back nine with very adventurous layout. We loved the elevation changes and wide fairways. We always have fun playing this course , Most golfers playing this course are better than average - so the play moves nicely. Nice management - the club house could have been bigger . .
This course will steal your money and not give you a rain check!!!! We had a 4:12pm tee time and it started storming really bad out of no where around 5pm. We were on the 4th hole and had to leave due to the lightning and rain. We asked for a rain check, but they said they will not give rain checks to anybody who tees off after 4pm. So they took my $30 to play 3 holes and wouldn’t give any type of refund towards my next round. There was no warning told to us that we wouldn’t get a rain check when we purchased the round in the pro shop. There’s only an $8 difference between the 3pm and 4pm tee times, but now I’m out $30 because of an $8 difference. Why can’t they give out twighlight only rain check or ask me to pay the $8 difference? This is extremely greedy, and although it’s a well maintained course, the terrible customer service at this course makes me want to tell everybody I know to never golf here. I recommend going to Palm Beach National golf course right down the road where they have much better customer service and will always give a rain check unlike Park Ridge where they steal your $30 with no warning over an $8 difference.
Course is in excellent condition. Greens running fast and true. Staff is friendly and efficient, nice range hitting off grass. Price with discount card $45.00. Course can be challenging or easy depending on which tees you choose. Only reason I give just 3 stars is I'm not a fan so many blind shots.
I needed 2 tee time to accommodate my golf group and the pro shop booked my tee times. The entire staff from pro shop to starter was super friendly. We enjoyed the course. It was in very good shape and the greens couldn't have been in any better shape. We will definitely come back here.
Not a bad course, had a good round of golf here
