Lake Boon is in eastern Massachusetts and it covers about 163 acres. The lake’s borders are shared by the towns of Stow and Hudson, Massachusetts. It was originally named Boon Pond after Matthew Boon, an explorer from Charlestown, Massachusetts who came to the area in 1660. In 1883 a monument was erected in memory of him.
Grocery stores, shopping centers, apple orchards, seasonal farm stands and the Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge are close by. Four golf courses are within a 5 mile range.
