Stopped by and only spent 66 for 6 takeout orders. Everyone was super helpful. Delicious and so affordable. My son especially enjoyed the mac n cheese & I couldn't leave without banana pudding Food: 5/5
Nice quiet affordable good southern BBQ place. Sit down and take out is available. Staff was helpful and upgraded my tea order to large when they initially forgot to bring it which is appreciated. Would definitely come again here.
From out of town and wanted a good bbq place. Found it. Staff was super friendly. Food came out quickly. Everything was delicious. Pulled pork was juicy and flavorful. All the sides were delicious. Definitely will be back while I'm here and may even order some online.
We had chicken liver dinner which was great. The fried livers were soft inside but crisp on the outside. It wasn't hard and greasy. It was cooked just right. The flounder tasted fresh, flaky, meaty, and fried just right. It was one of the best we've had at a barbecue place. What a delight to see that they have shrimp burger! Fried shrimps stuffed in a bun. The boiled potatoes were actually stewed potatoes which was all right. The Brunswick stew was interesting because the corn was the most dominant flavor. Didn't care much for the coleslaw. The mustard, vinegar, and horseradish flavors were overpowering. The corn stick was meh. We dipped it into butter and it didn't work. Dipped it in the stew, it still didn't work. It was just this bland fried thing that didn't wanna be friends with anything but perhaps it's designed to go with the barbecue. The hushpuppies however tasted more like corn and it was friendly with the butter. The Mac and cheese was good. Sweet tea was refreshing. Staff was attentive and answered our questions satisfactorily. We got our food at a timely fashion. Since it was our first time coming here, they gave us complimentary desserts of our choice, banana pudding and sweet potato pie. I think we'll visit them again whenever we are in Greenville and try the other sides.
If in Greenville this is a must for some proper bbq. Pulled pork is top notch, fried chicken is soooo crispy and the Brunswick stew is so yummy. Top that with 5 star service and it's an amazing combination..
I placed my order online while waiting in the parking lot because the take-out area was too crowded. When I went to pick up my order I was told to go around d to the other side of the building. They have curbside pick up parking and a number to call. Even though I called, I was instructed to come inside for pick up. I didn't mind just wondered what the use of having curbside pick up if that's not what I received. The food was great. The plate had enough for 2 days. The extra side was really small. Enough for maybe two scoops.
We contacted Parker’s for our son’s graduation party. We had a group of 20 people. They provided us with a private room, had the tables set up very nicely and provided outstanding service for our group. We never felt rushed and of course, the food was fantastic. Our waiter Ford took great care of us. Our family has enjoyed Parker’s for generations and they never disappoint.
Really good food but the barbecue and chicken portions are getting smaller! I've been coming to this Parkers for many years and even though the food is good I just wish it had more space in the back where you go to pick up your food.
We had our Tripp Family reunion today. Food was phenomenal. Tea was good as always. Great service. Waiters worked their butts off to provide a great service. Keep up the good work and don’t worry about the Karens.
Parker's BBQ, Memorial Dr., Greenville, NC is over the top -- food quality, service, and pricing. My family usually eats "Family Style" because it is yet as cheap as single-plate orders any other restaurant in town. Along with the usual BBQ, slaw, boiled potatoes, and Brunswick Stew, Family Style also includes upon request BBQ chicken or baked chicken, green beans, fried okra, creamy mac-n-cheese, chicken gizzards/livers...and of course, their signature cornbread sticks or hush puppies. It is not uncommon to see the owner, Billy Parker, greeting and seating at the door, visiting tables and being sure his guests are pleased, or even moving chairs/tables or sweeping the floor. I mentioned to him today how much his personability meant to his customers and that I was so impressed that he'd "sweep the floor," being the owner. His response was, "That's what my granddaddy did!" He certainly understands good business and customer satisfaction. His team in the back and out front are all on-queue -- fast service, hot foot, and oh -- your very own pitcher of tea to keep your glass topped without having to run the waiters to death! Cordiality, customer care, conscientious pricing, and good country cooking! Can't beat it! Thanks, Billy!
