Fantastic opportunity to see part of the 1864 defenses around Richmond. Seeing this helps understand how it became a war of seige. Informative and clean trail. So glad this gem of land is preserved.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitPrice for adult entryFree
Short trail, only 3 parking spaces lol I was approached here and told there's a sketchy older man in a station wagon type vehicle who will follow single women around while walking, then follow them by car... Just be cautious as you would anywhere
Another very small historical site with shallow history surrounded by industry.
Nice short piece of history in the urban complex. Clean and didn't see a single person when I jogged through.
Nice little area. Short walk but a great piece of history.
1/4 mile short easy walk with history markers.
Well very odd place. Has some amazing earth works. If you don't know, earth works are ditches and mounds built by soldiers in the Civil War for defense. This park has some great works in that they are tall and a battery where artillery used to be placed, but it's super small. The trail is maybe a quarter of a mile long. There are only 4 spaces to park one of which is handicapped.
I'd say this is a great place for a dog. Came here today, it's just a loop around and then back to the parking lot. My dog ran around the tall grass.
A little hidden and not much parking but worth the 5 minute walk to see the Monument.
Love the park systems whether local, state or national. It's through learning that we become closer.
