This clinic is horrible. Been waiting 6 months for a appointment an to get a call saying the doctor will not be in on the day I was scheduled to be push up an it’s not working with my schedule. Unprofessional most definitely ‼
I went in as a walk-in today. I did have to wait a few hours to be seen, but everyone I came in contact with was super kind and helpful. I especially want to give a shout out to Jackie in financial services for being so patient with me and Deidra, the physician, for being so kind.
Very rude and ethnical had appointment after 3 three months and waited all day for 5 -10 minute checkup.
Very rude walk in nurse . She got mad because I “took long to undress my baby and she told me that it’s important to undress baby at the begging because they can’t waste their time .which in reality she only waited like 20 seconds and she still acted like I was wasting her time .
Went to this clinic waited over a hour to get a 5 min visit asked for some cough syrup instead I was giving some pills that I can't afford Dr Martinez is no help she doesn't listen to the patient at all if I have to see her I will not go back.
We went up to the clinic yesterday because we are suspecting my 6 year old sister to have COVID. They sent us home because she was showing symptoms which is understandable. But then they called us today at 9am saying that they will give us a call back in about an hour to go up there and have someone go outside and have my sister take the test. Few hours later we call them asking why they haven’t given us a call when they said they would. They kept transferring us to different people and every person kept putting us on hold, we were on hold for an 1 hr and 30 minutes and we heard somebody answer real quick talk to someone in the background and then just hung up the phone ??? I have no idea why they say they’re ready and that they will CALL US in an hour to let us know when to come up to the clinic, so unprofessional from the staff to say that and then not be ready and when we decide to call we keep getting placed on hold and then we get hung up on. So rude and unprofessional.
I began coming here when i was 36 weeks pregnant and was well taken care of. My newborn on the other hand only got tended to at her first appointment. I had to reschedule her two week check up and called and was told a nurse would have to call me back and never received a call back. Recently, I once again called to schedule her to be seen and was told again a nurse would have to call me back to schedule her. Again, never received a call back. Unprofessional and unreliable. I changed my daughter to another clinic where she was tended to right away as a new patient.
I don't understand all the bad reviews here. Although I've only been here 3 times in my pregnancy, the place is pretty much what I expected. I expected a really long wait for my first appointment, about 4 or 5 hours I think cause it was in the afternoon I guess and they had to get all my information and everything. My other 2 appointments, I didn't have to wait long, probably cause they were in the morning. The front desk ladies, nurses and practitioners and lab people are all very nice and informative I think. Downloading the Parkland app is very easy and convenient to look up test results and cancel or make appointments. I emailed them once during Christmas cause I went to an emergency clinic, and they called me the day after Christmas. I didn't expect them to be open during christmas. And they scheduled me for a follow up appointment that same week. I don't really like how they just give you an appointment without asking when you're available but I guess since it's a big place, you can only get what you get. I do hope I get seen more often than every 4 weeks when I'm further along. I don't really like how they keep wanting me to go to that pregnancy class when I already know a lot since this is my second pregnancy and I don't think I want to be billed for a pregnancy class I don't think is necessary. All in all, I think they're professional there so far in my pregnancy18 weeks. I've had one sonogram at the Wish center at the parkland hospital and I have another one coming up in a couple of weeks that's at the women's center. We'll see when the bills come which I expect will probably be a lot just like at all hospitals and clinics and when I'm further along if I'm going to change this review later. *Edit: Ok I understand now why so many people are complaining about them not answering their phones. I tried calling like 7 times between 1pm and 4pm on a Tuesday non-holiday and it kept telling me that they're closed even though they say they're open Monday-Friday 7:30am-6pm. This can be very frustrating. I think it's better to just message them a non-emergency question through their app or website.
Loved the customer service I received with the medical assistants, the nurses that attended me and the staff in general. Super nice and super informative. Financial assistant personnel could have been way nicer. The lady that attended me in stall number 6, gave me unnecessary attitude that I did not need in that moment of confusion, and need as a patient, but overall all of the healthcare workers that assisted me were amazing.
If I could give this place negative stars, I would. This is literally the worst Parkland office there is. I’ve been to a few so I know personally how they can be. The front desk staff needs to be replaced. They take forever to answer the phone, schedule unacordingly, and when I went in, had me sitting 30minutes before another woman finally checked me in. I do not recall the first young ladies name who didn’t check me in but she was rude. They never have openings for visits. If your child gets sick out of the blue and you don’t feel they need to go to the ER then the doctor they go to should have an opening for such case, WELL NOT HERE. The girls are very dumb. The nurses and doctors are okay, but the front desk staff is literally so stupid. I don’t know if they even graduated high school. Replace them, train them better and this place will be better off. Parkland is better than this.
