Parklawn Memorial Garden

I have NEVER experienced such TOTAL incompetence!!!! They need someone besides Erin Shelton taking care of that cemetery!!! I would love to know how someone makes such a mistake as to putting down my husbands headstone nowhere near his body!!! And the marker is still there from the funeral home!!! It was discussed with her in full detail as to where it went because it was supposed to be my grandpa and grandma, then my momma and daddy, and then myself and my husband. I was to be on the inside by my father!!!! I am highly upset at the total disrespect!!! I paid her $3000 in February and she said 90 days. I went on his his birthday, which was October 25th and she guaranteed me it was there!!! I get there to no headstone!!!! But to my disbelief, it was down past someone else’s headstone!!! She’s lucky I’m not in good health or I’d be in jail and she’d be in this hospital bed instead of me!!!! She said give her a week she’d have it fixed!!! It’s been over a month and she will not answer my calls about getting it fixed, so get ready Ms Erin, I be done contacted me an attorney!!!!

Awful doesn't begin to describe this place. It's a DAMN joke. I hate that my parents purchased plots here thinking that their final resting place would be beautifully landscaped. I live out of town, however I cry every time I visit. My brother has to haul his own personal lawn equipment to the cemetery to take care of my parents plot. They have stolen money from us, for a marker we paid for and never received. Attempts to contact them have gone unanswered. Who do you have to contact to get these issues resolved? Not the cemetery board, as they have also not responded. Sad....just sad.

My Father was buried in Feb 2017. My sister brought his bronze marker to the office sometime around Nov 2017. It is now Aug 2018 and it still has not been mounted on his head stone. Once they answer your call and see your number you will only get an answer machine from then on. The grass is always tall and when they do cut the grass they leave it piled up on top of the markers.

I was very upset when I saw my husband's grave on Father's Day. This cemetery used to be well kept when I Lived in Hammond. His grave is covered with over growth. I can't even see his headstone. It is a sloppy mess. There is no drainage system. It looks like a lake everytime it rains. When I lived there the grass was cut on a weely basis and was also weed eated. Now there is nothing.
