I would compare this residence to be exactly as à minimum security prison. My son resided there approximately six months. The manager Heather is an unkept tyrant that micro manages and trys to control every residence life to the ultimate extreme. The residence is run by her and her attitude cylone like female relatives. The owner John lives in Toronto. He leaves everything in Heathers hands. Family have to pre-book in advance at least a week to visit their loved ones which is at the managers discretion if you can visit. My sons room was full of bedbugs. If you think for yourself independently you will have your personal TV etc taken from you as punishment. I took my son a new winter jacket and was giving it to him at the doorway when Heather pulled it out of my hand rudely and announced " I'll take that!" My son has lived in about four other residence and this one is the worst. The only reason I gave it one star is because there was not a lower rating. Fortunately my son is currently living independently and is doing well . I would not send my worst enemy t t to live there.
I'm a schizophrenic veteran with a college diploma and 5 years experience in the construction industry. I have never enjoyed a higher quality of life in the past 10 years. Independently I struggle to make healthy eating choices, balance work and life, and find time to talk to friends and family. In fact, independently I am often very unhappy and alone. The extra resources the government invests in the residence here goes to nice food, prepared by staff. Accommodations that are never in disrepair. And a kind culture of tenants.
