I have been bringing my fur babies to Dr. Nelson for 20 + years and I would never go anywhere else. He is through, kind, loving to my baby and knows exactly what she needs when she needs him. I whole heartily trust my baby with him and his staff as they are very knowledgeable and kind and loving as well. If anyone ever asks me who to go to he is the one and only that I refer to. Thank you Dr. Nelson and staff for so many great years of service and to many more to come. Now & Always, Sandy, Mom Hale, & of course our little Kenzie.
I took my pets to Dr. Nelson for a few years because he was a decent doctor. Lately however I’m not sure what’s going on in there. I took my baby in for allergies at the beginning of may. Her feet were hairless raw and red from constant licking. He told me he couldn’t give her any medicine because she needed to go through a full allergy season. Only sent me home with shampoo to wash her feet it. About a month later I called back because she was clearly suffering and I couldn’t just watch her anymore. I had lost my job in the middle of all this so I was asking them if they could just give her the citapoint shot or apoquel without the appointment since he had already seen her and knew what was wrong, and once I got my paycheck from the new job I was waiting for I could bring her in after those three weeks. I called every day for a week and every day they kept telling me they would ask the vet. Not only did no one ever get back to me, but when I finally told them I was getting frustrated at the situation all they had to say to me was that “they weren’t able to reach him” and that it’s best if I just brought her in for a full appointment. I had explained my Job situation and that I was tight on money. In five days no one could find him to ask him one simple question? Okay. I feel like if they cared enough about her well being they could’ve worked something out. I don’t feel like I was asking for anything outrageous. I explained my situation to another another doctor and she left with medicine/antibiotics & she’s been doing great ever since.
Been taking my dogs here for several years. Always caring, compassionate and knowledgeable. Love the front desk workers and the doctors assistants. UPDATE: still seeing Dr. Nelson and staff. Our black lab on the right has crossed the rainbow bridge and the puppy on the left is now a 10 year old senior boxer. We have a new member of the family. An eight month old boxer mix named Spike.
Dr Nelson has been caring for my pets over a 20-year span. He and his team are the best!!
Dr. Nelson takes the time to take the dog to like him and be comfortable around him before starting our dog’s evaluation. His office staff is very friendly and on point.
It was very quick to get an appointment with Parkway Animal Hospital and even called with an appt reminder. From the moment we walked in, both my dog Gracie and I felt very comfortable in the casual, no frills atmosphere. The staff was expecting us, knew our names and what we were there for. It was a short wait before going back to see the Vet and assistant. They spent over an hour with us looking into our issues. The absolute best part was how the Dr. was so gentle with my dog, even getting down at floor level with her. Pricing was excellent and lower than at other veterinary clinics. The prescription dog food they had on-sight was lower than what I could have bought on Amazon or Chewey.com. The staff was extremely friendly and even called to see how my dog was doing on the medication. I am thrilled to have found this clinic for my dogs!
We brought both of my dogs in years ago and were loyal patrons until we put both down this year, unfortunately. I would recommend Dr. Nelson to anyone who asked, the staff in general are phenomenal, and the care you receive is 100% on point. When we put down my eldest pup in April, they truly cared and helped out with anything we needed, including the cremation services. They also have a grooming salon within the building that treats them well also. If I choose to have another animal way in the future, I will use their services again for sure.
After a bad experience else where, I found this wonderful Vet Clinic. The staff was more than friendly and made sure that I was taken care of. Dr Nelson was very pleasant and took care of my kitten as if it were his own. I expressed my concern of the price of the medication as they offered me alternative meds that might be cheaper and even offered a script where I could get it on my own. It was a 6 months supply and I was thinking or planning for three. After a little research it really was not that much different so I kept it with them. I was impressed on how they were accommodating to my needs. I’m really happy with Parkway. I now have peace of mind that have a place to take Rey to for all her Vet needs. Thank you so very much!
Dr Nelson was fantastic for my mom in laws puppy Lil Bit. You could tell he cares about his job and he answered every question we could come up with for our concerns. The lady in the front is a hoot she's awesome! The best vet I've seen in a good 20 years honestly. If I could put more then 5 stars I would. They go the extra mile for their clients. Thank y'all!
Great experience. The staff made our Mr. Red very comfortable. He did great thanks to the staff. May God bless them.
