Nurses were so kind and patient with my grandmother when she had a stroke. They made a scary time go as calm as possible, and were very supportive towards my grandmother and family members. And they gave her the best care.
My husband came in with some pretty serious GI issues. He got lucky and came during a time that wasn't crazy busy and had a room relatively quick. He received amazing care in the ED. Shout out to Dr. Tina Mager, RN Bobby, RN Brittany, and NA Alex for taking great care of him. Thanks!
The "hallway" was my father's room at the ER - even though there were rooms available. No privacy for throwing up or discussions with hospital personnel - so HIPPA only comes into play when convenient!!! I wonder if this is because of Medicare vs. private insurance and the lower amount of $$$ the hospital collects??? My father dedicated his career to the Parma Fire Department. He retired a Captain and to be treated this way is unacceptable!!!! Shame on the people that run uh parma - you have taken a decent hospital and turned it into a place I would NOT take my dog for care!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BTW - I did contact the patient advocate office when he was in the hospital last week, which is not "ON-SITE" and a complete waste of time!!!!!!!
Thank you for always providing the best care for me and my family. Everybody was so nice and attentive. Especially the nurse and the medic in triage, Emily and Irena. They made me feel welcome and safe. Thank you
Excellent, organized, friendly and admiited quickly on Sunday 11 am. Facility clean, overall very good. Did blood, urine, and CAT scan ruled out kidney and or UTI. Visited due to bad muscle pain in back. Left with muscle pain in back. Was given very low level pain killer told to "follow up with primary" PA was brisk and very quick- "on the clock" Despite the fact that facilty was running at 25% of capacity. I am not sure but my hope was that I would get some form of cure/treatment recommendation? Instead my session in the facility was strictly diagnostic. Is this US ER Medicine in 2023? Note are most visits by patients to ER's resulting in patients leaving with the same condition at which they seeked a cure? If so that may be why ER'S may be rated so poorly in attribute studies by the public. TO: Parma Hospital ER Management - First and last impressions are not always accurate but they are lasting! Your support and nursing staff is first rate but this user was left with the condition that they paid to get fixed. Please take the time to instruct you PA /Medical staff that their "send off " of patients must or should include recoomendations for treatment rather then " follow up with primary" The less folks that leave your site feeling they wasted their time and money the better your scores will be on the street.
I was in too much pain to drive,.icalled 911. Joe and Adam are the EMT's who came. So nice, Theytry to help you forget your pain. Very empathetic. They tooke to Parma ER. Zack was my nurse, Sue, my P.A. They are ideal health care professionals. They were kind, even though they were swamped I hope you get them if you have to go. Judy L.
I had an abscess in my throat that was killing me, I went to the emergency room and after 6 and a half hours of testing and a CT scan they told me they couldn’t do anything for me and referred me to a different doctor to schedule an appointment. That said doctor’s office calls me back to set up an appointment after leaving a voicemail and said they can’t see me until April 7th just for a consultation…it’s March 21st. No one should wait that long to have an abscess drained, that’s dangerous and could lead to further complications..I was extremely upset. I called a different office and they were able to see me today and took care of it for me. Now I feel much better. But not thanks to UH Parma medical center… thanks to a different hospital. I will never return there or recommend UH to anyone.
Waiting for 3 1/2 hours so far with chest pains and tightness, must be short staffed but the receptionist has no answers.I left after 4 hours without being seen by a doctor to go elsewhere, where I could get some actual care. My dad was the former Comptroller of UH, he’s probably looking down from Heaven with disappointment
I had a awful Experience. The staff walks around and gossip instead of providing adequate care and customer service to the patients . They also put me in a room with no call light and dirty linen .
This place doesn’t even deserve a 1 star. the worst most dirty hospital i have ever been too. staff is so rude and not comforting at all. treated my PREGNANT sister with disrespect and put her in tiny rooms that are so nasty. just left this hospital a few minutes ago and we will never be back. an employee yelled at my sister. left us in a tiny room with her puke in it for almost 20 minutes which caused her to puke again. left her saline drip on 15 more minutes after it was well past empty. and i just cannot emphasize enough how dirty and disgusting this hospital is. there was blood on the paper that lies on the bed. diry floors. dirty walls. worst experience of my life. this place should be shut down.
