We were really stuck for a place to go for a vacation this summer. With Covid we procrastinated and were really struggling to find a place to stay. We do not own a camper, nor a cottage. However, we noticed these affordable little cabins at the KOA campgrounds, in our case we stayed in Parry Sound. At first we were not sure is this would be for us, as we are city slickers in the truest sense of the phrase. But I am glad we went through with our stay at KOA, we had such a fun family vacation. So many laughs with my son, daughter and wife in our rustic little cabin. It is hard sometimes to get teens to smile but they had a great time too. The cabin was clean, the staff were supper friendly and helpful, there is a heated pool, and three excellent lakes within walking distance. We will definitely be going back - next time we will go with the deluxe cabin to have the convenience of the washroom right in our accommodation. KOA Parry sound is a great place for families and I would recommend the place to anyone. Thank you KOA TEAM! The Brown’s
Had an awesome 5-day stay at the Parry Sound KOA. To start with, all of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and it really made for a great experience. The grounds were lovely and well-kept. The washrooms were very clean, and happy to have nice hot showers. The pool area was great, lots of lounge chairs to sit and relax. Our daughter had a blast swimming in the pool and making friends. Activities and crafts for the kids were scheduled daily, plus we enjoyed a wagon ride and all-you-can eat pancake breakfast. Store was well stocked with camping essentials and of course ice cream and cold treats for the kids. Overall great experience and we definitely look forward to returning!
We stayed there twice this summer and will be back for sure! Campground is very organized and well kept and the washrooms are super clean! My kids loved the pool and mini golf and they had a lot of fun during flashlight candy hunt. But the biggest plus of this campground is the entire staff working there- they are always so polite, friendly and helpful and they make everyone feel so welcomed. Big shout-out to them!
I can't say enough good things about this campground. It's always kept clean and the owners and staff are fantastic! It's nice and quiet and you get used to the trains. We always leave feeling totally relaxed and happy.Location: 5/5
Our stay was ok. But this campground is practically only for quad bikers. As "normal" campers we felt out of place. In addition, the campground was overpriced from our point of view. The sanitary facilities showers were old and dingy.
I had always looked forward to camp with KOA sometime, as friends stated they were better in general, or more to offer. We must have hit the wrong one, because this one is likely the smallest and did not have to offer all that much. Our only complaint is the amount we were charged in the morning as we checked in after 6 pm with self check in. Had we known all the extra charges, we would likely not have stayed. We needed a 15 amp service, so we bought an RV site and set up a tent. Since we were more than 5 people, we ended up paying double the listed price in the check-in price list. We were doing a 3 weeks of camping trip in Canada East to West. After this camping, KOA was a definite no option for the remaining of our trip. My advise for the owners would be to improve the drainage of the lots, as lots seemed to flood even in the light rain we had.
Amazing owners! Super nice and accommodating all staff. Very clean, wonderful heated pool and play ground. Pet friendly and good size lots for camping. This will be a regular spot for us! Thanks for hosting and all the best!!
This campground is such a great , family environment. The Staff are very friendly and super helpful. We highly recommend this park, especially families with kids. We will be back !! Thanks for having us !
Well if there were 10*'s I would give it. Park was immaculate, staff friendly and welcoming. Shower block was spotlessly clean, would highly recommend this site. Thank you from 2 visitors from Wales in the United Kingdom
I have never been to a KOA where they escort you to your site and guide you in. Nice touch. Nice sized cabins, clean, roomy, and has excellent seating outside. Very clean, wonderful heated pool, just play ground needs to be something other than sand. My kids never once complained that they were bored, bonus for anyone who has kids. Super affordable too, we paid less than a place we went to last year in Wasaga and got far more amenities at KOA compared to the Wasaga location we previously visited. The Staff are very friendly and super helpful. We highly recommend this park, especially families with kids. Thanks for having us, we will be back next summer!!!
