The Parsippany District 5 Fire Department has been serving eastern Parsippany since 1928. We are an all-volunteer fire department with a current membership of over 50 men and women who utilize two fire houses for response. Those firehouses house the following equipment:
• Station 1:
-1 Engine
-1-105' Aerial
• Station 2:
-1 Engine
-1 Squad (Hazmat Unit)
-1 High Water Vehicle (5-Ton Military Surplus Vehicle)
-1 Foam Tender (3500 Gallons of Foam Concentrate)
-1 Boat
Due to the ever changing needs of our community, our members are highly trained and certified in numerous areas including:
-Structural Firefighting
-Hazardous Materials (Operations/Technician Levels)
-Swift Water Rescue (Operations/Technician Levels)
-Ice Rescue (Operations/Technician Levels)
-Industrial Foam Firefighting
-Vehicle Extrication
-Emergency First Responder
The Parsippany District 5 Fire Department is proud to be part of the Morris County UASI Foam Task Force, and to house their own Hazardous Materials Team with trained Hazmat Technicians that work closely with the Whippany Fire Department Hazmat Team, Picatinny Arsenal Hazmat Teat, and Morris County Hazmat Team to serve the residents of Parsippany and the residents of Morris County. Members are privileged to receive specialized training for Hazmat within the state of NJ and a specialized Flammable Liquids and Foam training class in Texas.
Our members are dedicated and motivated individuals who seek to serve the residents of Parsippany and Northern NJ. We hope that this page shows you the dedication of our members to the residents through social events with in the community, training, and emergency response.
