Hi! Im sure this place is beautiful! Though I alongside many others will NEVER KNOW! This building has been closed since 2021 and is expected to finish in 2029! Unacceptable! That is almost 1/9 of the average lifespan. Ridiculous. Open this place up until you begin construction, which isnt expected to begin what... 2025?! Y
This library is MASSIVE! It's one of the biggest, if not the biggest, library I've ever been to. This library has four floors of books, a few auditoriums, study rooms, and even a coffee shop right outside. It has a very old school rustic feel to it. I went there to view one of the many programs that they have going on and the auditorium that the program was in was a very nice, large auditorium. I'm definitely going to try to come back here more often.
This public library has a beautiful building, and their staff is excellent. Free wifi is a plus. I first came to this library when I was in high school at Glendale Hoover HS. Love it since then!
This is my favorite public library ever. It is so beautiful and the location is perfect. There is an outdoor courtyard with a coffee bar. It is open late 9pm on most weekdays. It is mostly clean and the large hall is the perfect place to work not too loud but just enough background noise. There are quieter areas for those who prefer. Overall very beautiful library with convenient hours in a very nice part of town.
Love the inside of this place. Has an old school feel to it that’s great. There’s an Internet cafe of sorts down in the basement if you need to get online. You can print stuff out down there. Lots of study space in multiple different rooms. There’s a meeting room upstairs that can be reserved. Parking can be a pain much of the day here. There’s just not enough parking around. Bathrooms can be unpleasant due to the ever present homeless population that makes use of them. There’s an outdoor courtyard with a tiny cafe.
The staff and service at this iconic library are consistently outstanding. Friendly, helpful - staff will frequently go into the stacks to find a book for me. The reservation service is amazing, with an email arriving in my home overdue warnings, and enough staff on duty that I never have to wait. The building is a historic treasure. What's not to love?!?
Pasadena Public Library feels like a large library, the building itself has a traditional feel, as if it's been around for a very long time. It is a historical landmark so that explains things. Good for studying or quiet book reading.
I really love this library. I've been coming my whole life since I was 7. I love to come here to study and read, but the worst thing about it is the restroom. The men's room is always filthy because homeless are always taking a bath using the sinks. I can't really stay here long because if I need to use the restroom I can't after going into the men's room and seeing homeless men in the stalls doing who knows what, and homeless men at the sinks with all their items strewn out on the counter and a horrible stench. It's not that they don't clean the restroom, it's that there are always homeless going in and turning it into a pigsty. The homeless all about the library are also annoying, but usually they are well behaved. The problem here is that they need to stop letting the homeless destroy the men's room. Stop letting in these homeless with all their stuff and then proceeding to smear every surface with dirt and filth. Last time I went in it looked like mud had been smeared all over the sink counters. Really unacceptable, especially seeing as how there are multiple places nearby now that cater exclusively to this population for this exact reason.
Really cool library, which has this historic charm to it. While I was only here for about an hour or so, it was a nice experience. Free parking, which is a plus. Free wifi. And woah, free books? This is a library, after all. It's 4 stories high, with this really cool winding staircases. It's cramped for sure, and the elevators made me nervous to ride them. Lots of creaking. But that's fine, because it was a cool experience to see the artchitecture. One of the better libraries in the area, definitely will come back if I need to!
A wonderful place. We are truly lucky to be residents here and have access to such a great establishment. I have zero complaints and everybody is usually very respectful. If you are "noise sensitive," bring some headphones and music and you'll block out the very occasional echo of noise. Honestly it's the best place to be distraction free and get some studying done. Wi-Fi is also perfect.
