Came in for hinges to my screen door, only one other customer in the store. At first 2 of your gentlemen were very helpful.  One walked me over to the hinges near the back and pointed one out.  I expressed confusion and he said "That's all we have there" and quickly walked away getting on his phone. I made it clear I still needed his help but he ignored me. He had recommended the wrong one. I had brought the screen door with original hinges into your store for reference. I found the other gentleman who pointed out the correct hinge and also quickly walked away, still no other customers waiting. I purchased the hinges, left not realizing I needed specialty screws, as I was preoccupied with being screwed by your employees. On my way now to another hardware store to get what I need, very disappointed with your customer service. I really try not to go to Home Depot, your guys make it hard...Update: Realized you sold me the wrong hinge, shopping correct one online
I asked why the store was so empty in November and was told maybe the owners were letting inventory dwindle because they were going to remodel. But things have remained the same. Something is definitely up with the store that the staff are not talking about. I really hope they will stay in business and restock the store. It would be my go-to hardware store if it was functioning.
I went in for a Phillips head and the response was, “we’ve been out of those screwdrivers for a while now.” Pretty bad when I can find one at CVS but not a hardware store. Two stars instead of one because the employee was very nice.
Looks like they are going out of business, really empty store, dirty. Sales associate was super unknowledgeable. The storage is organized super weird too, you walk into a weird empty area and pass through a gate. To exit you have to wait in line even if you aren’t buying anything which you probably aren’t because they have nothing in stock. Will not return.
There are several very good hardware stores in the Pasadena area that trigger wistful nostalgia for a time before Home Depot put plenty of them out of business... and this isn't quite a Crown City or Berg or Arnold's in Sierra Madre, but it's the closest to where I live and they've always batted 1000 when I've needed a specific tool, plumbing or electrical part. Plenty of helpful/knowledgeable staff present; I've never had to hunt someone down for help.
This is the gem of Pasadena a real hardware store unfortunately some don’t kniw the difference of. Home Depot and HARDWARE STORE where you get help as soon as you walk in you don’t have to waste time looking for stuff abd the staff knows a lot .its nit double the price even if it was you have to drive 20 minutes do the math for gas but I guess some idiots don’t have common sense.
Need just a pint of paint or a very specific size of bolt? This is the place, you'll be in and out in a few minutes. Compare that to walking around for an hour in Home Depot - lost and no one to help you.
I wish the folks in the paint department would do a little less talking and more of the actual working part. I don't mind waiting in line and I understand that I'm not the center of the universe but its very frustrating when the people behind the counter at the paint department are not conscious of the people waiting in line to buy paint and just talk away with other clients like its a Sunday afternoon when its actually a Thursday afternoon and many of us have a job to complete.
Friendly staff and very helpful. Had car key duplications and red headed gentleman named Robert even came put to the parking lot to test them. Perfect job.
Great customer service. I was helped immediately by the first person I met in the store and I didn’t have to spend any time at all to look for what I needed.
