Horrible medical industrial complex. They sent the bill as a text to a phone. We did not click the link.....who clicks links to unknown text phone numbers? After 3 mos, instead of calling or sending a bill they sent us to collections. Took me 3 requests to get an itemized bill which finally stated the doctor's name. It was 2 pages of 0.01 charges and reversals until the billing code finally paid out for them....guess they were 'experimenting' to see what worked with the insurance company? The collection agency just says Summit Medical Group, no physician name, and we never even knew we were at 'Summit Medical Group', which when googled comes up in ME, not AZ. After months of requests, we got a bill. The automated system to request did not work, I finally talked to a like person to get a bill sent out. The doc was not even that great. Save your time and find another practice.
Billing group for Summit Medical Group is the worst. They took a copy of my medical card and I filled out all of the usual information. Then 3 months later I get a bill saying they submitted it to my insurance and got told by the insurance company that they are not covering any of the cost. After following up with insurance, who never received a bill, I called the summit medical group billing. They said they had no insurance information on record and the assistant was provided all new information and ran a report that came out good after 2 calls. 2 weeks later I get a notification that my payment is due and that the insurance company is still saying no billing. Start the same process again. End up just paying the full bill knowing I wouldn't ever go back .
After being a patient for 15 years I'm now looking for a new provider. I've tried to pay an outstanding bill through their third party billing and asked about a discount because I'm in between insurance. They told me, they do offer "self pay discounts" but it needed to be approved through the supervisor. Come to find out they don't offer "self pay discounts" and when I got off the phone the gentleman I was talking to sent me directly to collections.
Terrible experience from front desk to physician. I called and set up an annual exam. I was given a new patient office visit instead. This is understandable, except that this was not explained to me, and my insurance does not cover new patient office visits. Not everyone understands how billing works, and as per office policy, I should have been told what kind of appointment I was getting. When I got the surprise bill, I called to ask for it to be re-billed as the exam I made the appointment for. I was told "it's not like a restaurant, where if you get something you didn't order, you don't have to pay for it" and offered only a promise to educate the receptionist, which doesn't help my situation at all. Honestly, it would have been fine if the visit had not been a total waste of time. The doctor treated me like a child I'm 25, did not do a complete exam, and had no answers for my question about a recent bout of unprecedented vertigo. She only smirked at the explanation that had been given by my husband, who witnessed the vertigo and is also a primary care MD. I realized later that this was the same doctor who told my sister she might have Marfan's not even close! without first examining her. After the worthless visit, I already knew I wouldn't go back. The billing debaucle made me post this review to warn other people away. Honestly, this kind of office is why people don't go to the doctor and don't trust doctors. And this is coming from someone who is married to an MD and is pro-traditional medicine.
They work with me. My doctor is so personable and respectful. She wants to treat me as a whole person. She is slow to judge and quick to investigate. All the staff are super helpful and it is so easy to get an appointment. Highly recommend it if you are unhappy with your care providers or don't have any. They even have a Saturday clinic
Everyone is just so simply kind and helpful. MAs are fantastic, the office is rarely crowded and I've never had to wait. My doctor is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and never rushes me out if I am asking questions. They rescheduled me last minute no problem for a scheduling error on my part. Warm and welcoming environment. I do not give out a 5 star very often but the fine staff and clinicians here have earned it. 1 year edit: thank you Diane, thank you Dr. Nebeker. 2 year edit: thank you for keeping me healthy everybody.
Their practice is absolutely fantastic. I called and made an appointment just before they closed and was able to get in first thing the next morning, despite my wife being a new patient. I had trouble finding them in the office complex and ended up being fifteen minutes late. I thought for sure we would have to reschedule but where so accommodating and still honored our appointment. My wife met with Dr Shraddha Patel and received the best care we have ever experienced. She was very compationate and went through our list of concerns with great attention to detail. We felt as though she truly cared and left feeling that we where in good hands. I can't recommend this place enough.
the WORST doctor's office and staff I have ever experienced. Extremely Unprofessional, and AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Medical Doctor's and Staff can not keep in contact and follow up for even simple injuries. Keep in mind, I have been a patient of theirs my whole life until today. Most recently, after having an ankle and foot injury due to an ATV accident, I visited Paseo to have my ankle examined. After immediately getting my food x-rayed next door at the imaging facility, the office proceeds to dodge my calls for the rest of the week. After numerous voicemails, and numerous times checking with the medical imaging office, I finally appeared in person to demand an analysis of the X-RAY I received. What do I know, but the doctor AND the Medical Representative refuse to even speak to me and all I receive is a piece of paper from the front office secretary. It took me having to physically walk into the medical imaging facility to separately get the X-Ray. Extremely Unprofessional and this Medical Group should not even be lawfully allowed to practice.
Firstly, they called me at work five times, stating that my insurance was not active when it was. The girl at the front desk didn't take down my insurance ID correctly. They told me to call my insurance when all they had to do was ask/re-verify my ID again. I had to go through 4 people to get this resolved. Secondly, I saw a doctor who I will not name that wouldn't prescibe me my regular medications from my previous primary care doctor. I been on my medications for years but this Paseo doctor wants to refer me to his friends to rank up a bill. I told him to contact my original primary care and showed him my medications. He kept pushing all these protocols and procedures on me. This doctor also has terrible bedside manners. I came out of the medical room and told his nurse that I am not going to proceed with his recommendations/procedures. This doctor did not like my decision because he walked right in front of me, without saying a word and treated me like I was a ghost that didn't exist. He then walked into the other medical room, to assist his next patient, instead of being considerate and thanking me for my time and saying a simple good bye. Where is the respect?! I don't recommend this place....I never felt so bad leaving. I am a healtcare provider, myself, and was treated like trash.
I will never go back to this facility again. 13 days have passed since my visit with my blood results confirming Valley Fever STILL sitting on Tartaglia's desk. The results were emailed to me as well as the office on a Friday. Because she was already out of the office on Friday afternoon, I was told that I would have to wait until Monday for her to call me back. No one else could help and I was told she would not call me back. It is now Tuesday, still waiting for a call. Valley Fever, people! No call, no prescription, no care what so ever! This is an office filled with Doctors??
