The Passaic Court Justice system is a joke from The Clerks down to the prosecutor. They won’t allow you to explain the circumstances of why this or that and they make it clear they do not care . They talk to you and treat you as if you just another dollar bill and don’t have any rights . it’s sad because most people live pay check to pay check and they don’t even try to help you resolve your issues instead they will give u a hard time as much as possible even if it’s a MISDEMEANOR like standing in front of a store and the police gave you a ticket for it . I don’t know what can possibly be gain from that kind of behavior but it’s NOT what we pay taxes for . People in position of power taking advantage of the less fortunate. Very disappointed that my hard earned money goes to paying taxes that they benefit from and they won’t even help you !! They don’t care about the community . I wish they have more Judges and prosecutors who care .
No one answers the phone to get information or help with the virtual court. The one judge has no idea how to host court virtually. Spent 4 hours and had to get rescheduled. It's a joke! Literally
They get mad and say passive aggressive remarks when you're innocent and not going to pay them now. The moment they figure out you're getting out of a ticket, they start treating you poorly, talking down to you. The bailiff made a bunch of poorly worded remarks at me just because I was found innocent and then he held onto my documents as long as he could to hold me up longer.
I live in Toronto and drove donw there. I'd parked 50 feet away from the crosswalk but I got a ticket for "parking within 25 FT of crosswalk"! I called the court but they said because you don't live in new york you cannot plea not gulty!! You have to appear in court or just pay your fine!

Rude prosecutor Christopher Kane who is in no hurry to do his job. Of the 3 times I have been here recently he has been rude every time. I witnessed how he allowed a defendant's attorney to harass a plaintiff in his office. Everytime I was there the judge showed up over an hour after the appointed time the court was supposed to start.
Horrible. The judge is a blatant case of someone who was bullied as a child and now abuses the position of power they're in. He will do anything to fine you as much as possible. I've never seen such evil take place in a place that is supposed to serve justice. Karma doesn't miss and I'm sure his personal life is hell as a result of his conduct in that courtroom.
$74 dollars for street cleaning ticket? really? I hope Mayor Hector Lora review the charges, and make necessary adjustments. Passaic Residents are not rich.
Is anyone ever going to answer the phone. I have called for the last 3 days was not able to reach anyone in to violations department. Phone rang for about 15 minutes even after being transferred over to correct department.
The absolute worst place ever. Slow as hell. I was supposed to be at work at 4:00, my court time was 1:30... I had a lawyer so I went first, they told me to wait for my payment plan... Didn't leave til 5. #THEWORST
