It has been a pleasure renting with Pat Garrett Realtors. Quick and personal communication in person, by email or on the phone. Repairs, if necessary, are done in a timely manner and they graciously work with you on minor improvements.
My mother unfortunately rented with Pat Garret for over 5 years and during her lease the property was acquired by Doors Management. Maintenance was difficult to come do repairs; a leaking faucet on the side of the outside building never stopped flowing, fence was hanging on by a few nails with a gate attached that was the only access to the dumpster, people illegally dumping and leaving trash outside said dumpster. What adds insult to injury is after Doors acquisition, Pat Garrett failed to send all of the leasing documents to the new company. Because of Pat Garrett’s incompetence, they lost the inventory and conditions form and my mom was charged for things after the move out that were already damaged and notated on the form. They also failed to return a pet deposit $250. Pat Garrett’s office has turned away my mom’s in person visits and phone calls to respond to the missing documents. This is a woman on disability and a fixed income just looking for answers. They have also told the manager Robyn at Doors the paperwork that is missing is stored on a broken computer and inaccessible. Please keep all documentation in physical form if you must rent with this company, they are unprofessional and disorganized.
I have rented for 3 years and the customer service staff is amazing and quick to get you an answer to any questions. Also maintenance requests get handled in a timely manner, I have never had to wait more than one day before getting a technician scheduled to fix any issues. Very happy I chose to rent a home from this company!
I had a issue with my garbage disposal and faucet and they had someone out to fix super fast! The handyman Maurice was excellent and very efficient. I truly appreciate the quickness on getting this resolved. 10 out of 10 Great job!
They have been great to work with, and all my service request are promptly followed up on and taken care of!
This is by far the best company to rent from!! If you have an issue they are on it immediately and with a smile!!!

This is by far the worst rental company I've ever dealt with. For 2 years we stayed in one of their rental properties. We reported several things inside the house that needed fixing, but they never bothered to send anybody out to fix. Carpet was worn away prior to us moving in , and there were sharp metal pieces sticking up out of the floor. I cannot tell you how many times I or a family member stepped on them! After my husband tried fixing the kitchen sink he discovered the whole thing needed to be replaced. Never happened. The roof was missing many shingles which he also reported, finally after 9 months somebody was sent out to fix it. That was the month we put in our 30 day notice. I spent an entire week scrubbing, vacuuming, and sweeping the house so it was ready for inspection, and the next family, but we never got our deposit back. Nobody returned our phone calls, and we were blown off when we actually got a person on the phone. Pat Garrett owes us $900 of which we haven't received one red cent!!! DO NOT RENT from this company, I guarantee you will regret it!!!!
Do not do business with this company! They are awful. My daughter and her 2 roommates are renting a property from these people and they have been horrible! This was my daughter's first experience with renting a house and they treated them horribly because they are young college kids and they thought they didn't know any better. Mary Lou was condescending and rude and I made sure to have someone else finish their transaction. They tried to charge them for 2 days rent before they even turned over the keys! Ever since they moved in, they have had nothing but problems. Broken oven, both water heaters broken and one was said to be dangerous by Atmos Energy, switches that don't work, not to mention it was trashed and dirty when they moved in. Now the air conditioner has been broke for 4 days and they have done nothing but give them the run around and now they are telling them it will be fixed tomorrow...it is summer in Texas, this is unacceptable!!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!! I gave one star because I had to choose something. I would not even give them that!
