Patriot Speedway is a well manicured 1/4 mile dirt track located in Blacksburg South Carolina this area is centrally located between the Cowpens Battlefield in SC and the Kings Mountain Battleground in NC, which was the turning point and final defeat of the British during the Revolutionary War. Thus the Name ( " Patriot Speedway" ) Also for the ladies who like to shop The outlet Mall ( Big Yellow Mall) is 7 miles south of the track which has 60 plus outlet stores to shop at.....Our GPS physical address is 120 Henson Road Blacksburg SC 29702
The track is operated from the end of February or the 1st of March until the weekend before Thanksgiving in November. We run 30 to 38 races per season. Check starting dates each season, they will vary depending on weather. We have a yearly track point series where you can run for a class championship. There is 10 point races per season with the best 8 races going to the total points for our champions. The track has over 200 parking spots and all on grass and gravel marked for easy identification. The starting grid is marked in two lanes ...Grid A and Grid B and has an exit ramp to our covered scale area. Season reserved parking may be obtained at the beginning of each season for $50.00 per spot. Call for Parking ...First come basis.The track has indoor bathrooms and a complete and full concession facility. During the summer months there is usually an ice cream wagon on site with all your favorite flavors of ice cream. Gate opening time during March, and November is at 2:00 PM .....Practice begins at 4:00.....April through October Gates open at 3:00 PM practice begins at 5:00 PM sharp racing to follow. Our race nights usually end around 12:00 midnight or 12:30. On some nights it may run longer depending on weather, size of the crowd and number of classes ran, and even including if we may have a delay for an accident. We mainly race in the evening time with the exception of the traveling pro- Series that may visit the track. Patriot Speedway has in the past been the host to the Lucas Oil Pro Karting Series, the Big "O" Race as well as the Tri- State Pro Series, The track is capable of holding any big racing venue with all the equipment to work the track. There is two rounds of practice. ( Jr.classes practice separate) .... Jr I and Jr II will practice together with all Jr III class drivers practice by themselves as well as Pee Wees. All clone weight classes will practice together in groups of about 15 ...Predators will practice together. Any Modified or 2-cycle classes will practice as needed. This is a Maxxis tire only track, you may run any Maxxis tires, but must run them on all 4 corners. Predators are on the EL tire. Back number panels must be on rear bumper of the kart ...they must be full size with 6 inch numbers, "Mandatory"... that they be (White with black numbers or Black with White numbers.) FULL SIZE No exceptions !
Tires should punch around 45 to a 50 on the durometer for best results, with gearing varying for each class. in the Clone lite classes a 17/ !8 tooth driver works best and if the track hardens up you may can get up on an 19 driver. Around a 18/ 60-61 would be a good starting point.The track has a HOTLINE, number used to deliver message only. Phone number (704) 739-2361 for up to date info. on current races coming up. Signature races held here each year include our Anniversary Race which is a money race.....then the Mid Season Money race on the last weekend in July and the Halloween Spooktacular held on or around Halloween.And our annual Veterans Day Appreciation Race which is also a money race and is on or around the weekend of Veterans Day in November. We end our season the weekend before thanksgiving and awards are awarded in the first week of December at our Awards Banquet TBA .
