A very nice art deco brick building that is still being use as the courthouse. Built in 1932 it is one of two courthouses in Oklahoma that attempt to meld Native American and pioneer scenes. Panels on either side of the entrance depict scenes of Native Americans and pioneers, while the above the door depicts an eagle, a cow's skull, an owl, an open book and two rattlesnakes. A very nice courthouse to vist.
My daughter called up there to speak to someone about getting married by the judge. The old hag was so rude to my daughter that she just canceled the appointment. Asking if if she had a job snd if there was somewhere else she could get married. DONT PROVIDE A SERVICE IF YOU ARENT WILLING TO PROVIDE A SERVICE! PERIOD!
I was passing through Pawnee on my motorcycle and I am always on the lookout for the city's local veterans memorial. I found this gem at the Pawnee County Court house. It is a very nice memorial for a small town. I encourage you to stop and see it if your ever in the Pawnee area. I was amazed by the brick walkway, each brick has the name of a local veteran and which branch they served in.
People here have been very nice and easy to deal with . From the judges to the d.a. & court clerks....
