Beautiful small somewhat of a ghost town. Old hotel there that's closed to the public, but they rent out small cabins. Great swimming and fishing, with small gold around.

Perfect lil cabin for a quick getaway from the world. So beautifully remodeled and peaceful. The train wasn't even a real problem. Really wish they would fix the lack of hot water for winter nights like last night. So accommodating with great service. I loved the whole experience. Definitely will be back to enjoy this beautiful place. I recommend you give it a chance. You'll love it!

This place is rock music holy ground. Jac Holzman of Electra Records set up a studio/commune here and recorded music here in the late 1960s. For a variety of reasons we will never hear it, but a very young Jackson Browne was part of it. If the walls could talk …

We stayed at paxton once and loved it. But when we tried to go back and book through them privately, they increased the price over the advertised online price, even with the the extra online fees. I find this to be a deceptive and illegal business practice so we won't be back.

Nice wood carvings. Not much else. And access to the river was prohibited per some resident.

Very cool and comfy cabin... Rustic feel and great scenery... Lots of wildlife nearby...
