Khan, an employee there, blatantly lied to me and discriminated against processing my return of unworn shoes in their original box without a receipt. He stated Payless does not take returns without a receipt. I returned the shoes at the Fox Valley mall location inside the mall without issue for store credit. I then drove back to the Oswego location and asked Khan why he lied and discriminated against me. He made up another lie about the shoe box having an "x" on it which meant the shoes could not be returned. There was no "x" on the box and I was able to easily return the shoes at another location. He then amended his lie and calmly explained that he decided he needed to see a receipt for the shoes I was returning-he singled me out. I video-recorded the incident and will be contacting Payless for a resolution.
Staff was very friendly and able to help my 15 year old daughter find a pair of shoes that were "just perfect" for homecoming. Never thought of Payless for that, but she loves the shoes!
The owner is very friendly and helpful. I've been shopping here for years ass each time. It's a good experience.
