Payson Fire Rescue and Ambulance Departments are a full service emergecny response agency. Under the direction of full time Chief Scott Spencer 30 paid on call firefighters and 35 paid on call emergency medical technicians, 10 employees do both, respond to over 1100 medical calls a year and over 350 fire responses a year. Chief Spencer is assisted by 2 assistant fire chiefs and 2 assistant EMS chiefs.
The mission of Payson Fire Department is to protect the citizens of Payson from all emergencies both natural and man made through dedicated, highly skilled and motivated firefighters, while acknowledging the publics support, trust, and confidence.
