DO NOT purchase anything from this company. We bought almost $5000 worth of furniture, it took 6 months to get it in, and we ended up having to cancel the order. Now, we can't get the refund to save our souls. Customer service is pleasant and keep saying the refund is on the way, but we are still waiting. It has been 3 months now, and it is always a new excuse as to why it hasn't been processed. This company is just stealing and lying. So unethical and wrong!! Update: After months of calling, we did finally receive a full refund.
Ordered a table four months ago and it was back ordered. Waited for delivery once. They sent the wrong table. Waited for delivery a second time. They sent a broken table. They said I could wait another month and maybe get another one. Canceled the order. Still waiting on the refund. This is a very untrustworthy organization. A massive corporation masquerading as a quality furniture store.
Always been a fan of pottery barn but just recently had a bad experience with them. Purchased 10k worth of furniture in store, one being a 4piece sectional paid 7-8k. Almost 8 weeks waiting on delivery because the wedge was lost during transport, then cancelled, then stuck on a truck at a location waiting to be offloaded and a lot of confusion with customer support on what the actual status is for the order. Then when delivery arrived, the chaise ended up having a completely different cloth/texture compared to the other sections and it was a different color. We refused delivery and were told it will take 7 days for refund to go through. I guess I’ll wait and see on the refund but we were tired of dealing with customer support, we will buy a couch locally and have it delivered same day. Felt bad for the drivers and was about to tip then a 20 each however they took off without any acknowledgment whatsoever. Besides this, the in store rep was fantastic at helping us make the purchase, just not sure if I will risk buying from PB ever again.
I ordered a comforter and entire sheet set from pottery barn a month ago and they haven’t even shipped my order yet!!! The just have it on “back order” status and no updates or any information and I paid a pretty penny for this order! They don’t care anything about their customers and it is obvious! Will never order anything from pottery barn ever again! This is the longest I have ever waited for any order I have ever placed! For as much money as I spent with this company and they just flat out ignore me, I’m very irritated! Buyer beware!
I'd give negative stars if that were possible. I bought a table that basically fell apart within a few months of owning it. Unusable. I ordered a replacement table and waited MONTHS AND MONTHS for it only to find out that it was no longer available--and yet NO ONE bothered to even tell me--just had me thinking it was still going to be delivered. I asked for a refund and they promptly picked up the useless table--but have yet to give my money back, despite picking up the table back in APRIL. This store owes me nearly a thousand dollars. I have called and called and keep being assured that my refund is coming. This is absolute garbage. If I owed Pottery Barn money, you know I would be hounded for it, but the store doesn't care one bit that they have my money with no right to it.
Drive to Highland Village location if you want any form of service. This location is always very rude; no greeting when you walk in, you can’t find a single person to help you even after spending two hours clearly looking for help, and they told me they had my item in stock but couldn’t let me buy it because it was inventory day…. I ended up spending $1000 on bedding elsewhere because this location was so unhelpful. Also, half their items are missing prices where it’s supposed to be on the tag.
Bought an engraved backpack. Engraving was terrible. Not centered at all, wrong font, and overall it looked awful. Asked for a refund the day the backpacks arrived. Management won’t refund or fix. Only wants to offer more store credit. Why would I want anything else from you? Do no do business here. These people are crooks.
I have not received a order I placed in APRIL! it is now JULY! nobody knows what’s going on. I was promised call back and emails and nothing!!! I have been on the phone at least 20 minutes now just to get a refund! HORRIBLE customer service. I have been shopping with them for years and it is getting worse! Time to shop elsewhere. I DO NOT RECOMMEND PB!
Went there today to buy some Christmas items for my wife. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was greeted when I walked in, thanked for coming in on my exit. It was nice to see them prioritize customer service. I didn't find anything to my liking and didn't buy anything but I would go back. The last observation I made is it did seem odd to go in to a place named Pottery Barn and not see a single piece of pottery for sale. Maybe they sold pottery in years past?
Bought about 5 or 6 different items for our new home. Of course there are supply issues right now, so everything is taking a really long time to come in. They give you an ETA on when the item will be delivered. My issue with Pottery barn is that the delivery has been 2-3 months after the ETA on every item we purchased. The most recent purchase was a coffee table that we ordered in November. We were told we would receive it in March. Now we are being told it won't be here till June. I could be more understanding if this happened every now and again, but this has happened on literally every order. It's unacceptable. The only reason they are getting two stars is because of the quality of the furniture.
