Went here for dinner. Kind of a bar situation with some booths to sit down and eat. Staff was friendly. Pretty busy, which to me is a good sign. I got the prime rib sandwich French dip the meat tasted good, nice au jus. My husband had the Ruben. The corned beef on it was delicious. Could have used a thousand Island dressing or something though. Kids had the chicken strips and fries. They were good. All in all, I was satisfied and would go back.
This is a regular go-to for us to eat lunch. Their burgers, onion rings, fries, wings, chicken strips and chicken sandwiches are all reliable and delicious. They recently had to raise prices a bit due to inflation but the portions are definitely worth the prices and you can go on select days for their special menu pricing. Wednesdays have traditionally been the wings special and I recommend the habanero and regular buffalo mixed together on them. We also like to split a bssket of Frings fries and wings when we go. Definitely recommend giving them a shot.
Few places are as awesome as Mr. Peabody's! The food is always consistently great. I would highly recommend the Reuben. Wow! Forget the 1,000 Island dressing, too! Trust me. Cold beer and fantastic servers. We stop there whenever we're in the area.Food: 5/5
Although the waitress got our bill and payment wrong, I will say that this restaurant has amazing food! I was NOT disappointed. The tots were great and everything came out hot! Go check it out!Food: 5/5
Food was amazing. If you leave this place hungry that's your fault. Portion sizes remind me of those is Texas....Big! However I must rave about the tots...crispy on the outside and hot in the center WITHOUT the oil pockets! Great place!Food: 5/5
The food is okay from what I tried patty melt and tater tots, the tater tots were the tastiest part of the meal in my opinion. For such a small and cramped location they make good use of the space and the atmosphere is cute for a pub. Service was fast and often with help from the kitchen being right at the bar. I'd recommend other pubs but if you're in the area the price isn't bad and it's an alright option if you're looking to grab a beer and watch some sports.
I've lived nearby for 4 years, and this was my first time here. No idea why it's taken my so long to give it a try, but I'll be returning. It's a great little hole-in-the-wall pub that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We went for brunch on that Thursday that everyone took off for Opening Day at Petco Park, but the 1:10 Padres game got rain delayed to 6:40. My friend and I decided to grab some food at around 1pm, and we decided to give this place a try. It is tiny and has that neighborhood pub feel... a little dark, a little grimy just a little bit, and very homey. Service was great. When we walked in and looked lost they yelled at us from the bar to sit anywhere. There are multiple TV screens showing various sporting events all over. We picked a booth to sit in - the table was a little dirty. Our server came right over, brought us menus and took our drink order. She was very friendly. I wiped off the table with the napkins she brought. I ordered the sunrise burger and my friend ordered a breakfast scramble. Both were delicious and the portions were large. Neither of us could finish our meals, so we took it home. Will definitely return! It seems like a great place to grab a burger and a beer and watch a game. Solid four stars for what it is. We didn't know what to expect, but it still exceeded our expectations.
You wanna have an amazing burger in a simple, chill bar? This is your spot. Not very big, Relaxed and exactly what we were looking for. Only thing I'd like to see is more dark beer on the menu.Food: 5/5
Nice place to grab lunch. Beer was nice and cold and food waa fresh and tasty.Food: 5/5
Want to visit a local haunt that has specials daily? I find it is difficult to hear with the many TV's, however the waitress was kind enough to lower the volume so my friend who has hearing issues could hear better. We sat right below the speaker. Would I order the carnitas again? Probably not. It had a spice or something that was different than I'm used to. Are the booths comfortable? Not really, but it has its own character. Parking: There is a tight lot and above the building there is more parking. The street parking goes up the hill.
