Description

Pecan Grove Store was built in 1957 by Lawance Segner across Marschall Creek from the 1800's Segner homestead.

The first building was a Sinclair service station, then added on a store, garage/shop.

He built a dance floor and band stand in the pecan grove where he had Saturday night dances. a local hub for years. He was a well known German sausage maker. I had the pleasure of stopping by the store in the 1970's to enjoy a cold beer and sausage.

Learned about this place when we asked a local where we should grab dinner, and we’re definitely glad we took the recommendation! The restaurant is in an old Sinclair gas station, and the vibe is so fun. They have a pool table in the car bay and few dart boards inside. The food is classic American fare with a solid burger and DELICIOUS seasoned fries. Can’t go wrong. Oh, and for the gluten intolerant folks, they also offer gluten free buns. And impossible burgers. Really something for everyone! Dietary restrictions: They also had gluten free buns and impossible burgers for folks with dietary restrictions!
The BEST burger in Fredericksburg and the surrounding area!!! Hands down the BEST!! We absolutely LOVE this place!! If you are in the area this is a must stop! You won't be here just once...trust me! Not only is the food AMAZING, the owners and staff are as well! Enjoy great food with your beer or wine with a local laid back vibe. We sure will miss Pecan Grove Store and we are certain nothing will compare as we continue our travels.
I can't give this place 6 stars?!?!! Seriously such a wonderful destination right outside Fredericksburg. The burgers and fries are great. The shaded dining area is a perfect place to enjoy a beautiful day. Rick, the owner, is a welcoming and gracious host. His hospitality and willingness to lend a helping hand when my car needed emergency repairs will not be forgotten. I'll be going out of my way to return to Pecan Grove every chance I get. Thank you again Rick!!!
Great place, excellent environment, awesome people, I enjoyed the live music and the chat with the owners. Definitely recommend to chill out with a nice cold local beer. Can't wait for the upcoming Hot Sauce festival Parking: Enough parking space and electric charge spots available
We we're looking for a local place where we could sit and have a cold beer and not have to get all showered up after working on the farm. Several of our neighbors suggested it. It was just what we were looking for. Located outside of town surrounded by the beauty of Hill Country. Ice cold beers, varied seating inside and out. Retro cycle vibe inside. You can order your drinks inside at the little bar or at the window if you're sitting outside. Pets allowed on leashes. Live music. Kids, adults, motorcyclists, dirty from work us, dressed up casual... Anyone welcome. We loved it.
Unpretentious and fun remodeled gas station. Amazing burgers. Good portions, seasoned well and served hot and well cooked. Best burger I had in a while. Gluten free options too. Including fries, buns and chili. Highly recommended.
Go there for the atmosphere not the food. Live band out back ripping it up. $20 cheeseburger with fries and a coke......tasted decent. Waited forever to get it though......but didn't mind because the band was good. Tons of bikes with extended parking.
Went on lunch, Friday ordered at 12:02pm did not receive food till 12:43pm. This place needs to run more efficiently wasn’t that busy would hate to see how long the wait is when they are slammed, no reason it should take that long, seems to be a major and common issue. Burger was good, not the best. Seems like they seasoned the burger in one spot with tons of pepper / seasoning, that’s a turn off for us meat eaters, suggestion - season the whole burger and go less on the seasoning. Less is more when cooking, let the meat do the talking. It’s a burger not the best, not the worst but the wait times from the time you order till you get your food are ridiculous.
By farrrrr the best burgers I’ve tried in YEARS!!! My husband and I split a blue ghost & diablo and wow!!! Blue ghost is now the best burger I’ve ever had! Bar none. The fries were so good that I ate for breakfast the next morning. Lol. Even the pickiest foodie will love something here! Will definitely go back when we’re in town.
Great burgers! Atmosphere is awesome all out door seating under Big shaded Pecan Trees Great and friendly staff will definitely be coming back!
