PGVFD serves the southwestern portion of East Feliciana Parish, roughly encompassing the are outlined by US highway 61 to Louisiana Highway 68 from US Highway 61 to Louisiana Highway 964, and Louisiana Highway 964 back to US Highway 61 at Thompson Creek. This area includes multiple households, businesses, and relegious structures. The Pecan Grove Volunteer Fire Department was formed in April, 1986, by a group of 20 Pecan Grove residents to serve the extreme Southwestern portion of East Feliciana Parish. The initial officers elected were: Tyrone Dubroq as President, Bill Allen as Vice-President, Karen Haley as Secretary, Donna Blevins as Treasurer, Benton Billeaudeau as Chaplain, and Eldridge Veasey as Member-at-Large. Mr. Danny and Mrs. Donna Blevins are still in leadership roles today.
