Peculiar Paw Spa & Canine Academy

I love these people. I've been told by someone else at $45 was too much for what we had done but everyone else wanted at least twice as much so I'm extremely happy and the puppy girl came home looking extremely pretty for her first time ever being at a groomers and she was extremely skittish and nervous being there but when I came to get her she seems like she had had a really good time and seemed really happy. Edit: Y'know I meant to ask 'em if I could talk about 'em in my media stuff, drum covers and games stuff. Feelsbad, but they deserve it. I'll have to remember to ask.

Awesome place, they really care about the animals in their care. I can't wait for our lab Layla to have her first play date.

There are many pro's and con's to paw spa & Canine Academy i have used their services to have my dog kenneled groomed and for doggie daycare .this is a the pro's and con's of my experiences. Pro's... place is clean n ppl r nice and good with dogs .the owner / dog trainer is very nice and very good with my dog. They also have a very large yard . The dogs are put into 3 categorys .separated by a fence so the lil dogs play together the old n tam dogs .then where they put my dog the big hyper crazy ones . My dog loves this place n the workes love him .if u have your dog kenneled there they send u update pics txt n videos of your dog .Now for the con's the hrs they r open r not solid .supposedly open til 5 i have gotten a call more then once saying they are slow so they have decided to close early come get my dog or have him kenneled $30 a night . Also they only have one main groomer n she's only there on certain days of the week . N if they r having a slow day she will leave early . So if u want to use her make sure to make a appointment day and time .cause she will leave early. Altho the grooming prices are cheaper then others my dogs full groom was Not good ,hair is uneven n left thicker then wanted it .because they dont have a pics or chart of what haircut n length of hair u want .she also left before i inspected him so didnt get to tell her i was dissatisfied so she could fix it .have a big dog she may do better on smaller dogs. . I hope they improve . Cause they r very convenient . ..So i will be would recommend if u live in Peculiar n dont want to go to belton or hville for doggie daycare or kenneling ur dog give them a try . Fyi i did go back and talked to the owner to complain about his grooming n they did go above and beyond to fix his groom including getting him in as soon as possible even being understanding when i was late. his cut looks good now so i am going to give them another shot wit grooming .i gave them an extra star for fixing the prob quickly n being nice about it. Haven't used paw spa in a while because they stopped grooming but last time I was there the place is nice with cameras everywhere and my dog still loves the ppl who work here infact at times when my dog gets out he heads in their direction and the owner knowing my dog has caught him for me .knowing I'd be out looking for him .

My dog always enjoys her stay. Staff is great. I received a daily video and update of our dog playing outside. The facility has a large fenced area where dogs can run and play and aren't cooped up in a kennel all day. Highly recommend for worry free boarding.

Recently left my dogs for a few days. They love going there, race right through reception to the rear door to the runs. Always relaxed and happy when I pick them up. 5 stars.

We have taken our dog a few times and they are great with her.
