I have been going to this office since I had my first born eight years ago. I always felt comfortable there and never had issue with the staff. Things have changed in the past two years after I had two other babies back to back and had to go to the office more frequently. I noticed new staff at the front desk. Frankly, they seemed more concerned about covid than the actual patients. I had expressed my concern with Dr. McManus and decided to move past the issues with the front desk staff. However, the final last straw was when my 6 month old was recently hospitalized with RSV for almost one week. He had been seen twice in the office before taking him to the ER and I wish the doctors who have better prepared me for what RSV could do. Thankfully, my son has been discharged. The inpatient staff wanted to make sure I had good outpatient follow up so I called the office to schedule the appointment and send the discharge paperwork over. I was not prepared for the reaction I got from the staff. I was told follow up appointments could not be made due to the holidays. This makes no sense. If my child’s own pediatrician won’t do a follow up visit then who is expected to do it? The staff didn’t even give me a chance to speak and explain the situation. She was incredibly rude and dismissive. Since this call was going nowhere I asked for a physician to call me back. However, instead of the doctor calling back to help with situation, I was referred to the office manager. She proved even less helpful and more rude. The office did not show an ounce of sympathy for a very terrible and stressful situation my family had just gone through. I am still in shock by the callous behavior I received and I will be taking my children to another pediatricians office from now on. I have discussed the situation with other friends and I have two other friends who have had to switch from the office for similar reasons.
I had my first baby Elise in June 2022. My friend referred me here and I’m so glad she did! They have always been so supportive and helpful. They are easy to contact and I like how you can speak to doctors after hours as well in case of emergency. I highly recommend this practice and I feel very comfortable talking with them and I trust their medical knowledge.
We have been with Pediatric Healthcare for over 2 years now. It was mostly ok, except some very bad advice regarding breastfeeding in the beginning. What happened today & yesterday though, made no sense at all. We did a virtual appointment because of a rash on my son, the doctor said there are no reasons to be worried, it's a viral rash that happens at the end of a viral infection and there is nothing to do about it, but it's not contagious and he can return to day care. Next thing I did was ask for a written note to state that. I did not get it, so I call the next day, a lady answers and tells me I won't get the written note because I refused the covid swab for him. She never mentioned I wouldn't get the note because of that. I even asked: "it doesn't look like covid, right?" and she said no. Next time I will need to record the virtual appointment.
Pediatric Health Care is an outstanding pediatric practice. My wife and I have been extremely happy and impressed with the care we have received for our child. We’ve seen all the physicians at one time or another and their clinical acumen is of the highest level. We have never felt rushed and our questions and concerns have always been promptly addressed. The staff is also wonderful to work with. They are friendly, helpful, and always accommodating. Being a medical provider myself, I have high expectations which have consistently been exceeded. I would not take my child anywhere else and highly recommend the practice to new parents or families looking for a new pediatric group.
We always have had good experiences here. Both of my sons come here and the doctors are very nice and informative. They take their time and don't rush you in and out like a lot of offices do.
I don’t have a problem with the doctors they are truly the best as for the front desk, they are extremely pushy and have issues with canceling an appt even if it’s 3 days in advance. I had an appt on Jan 11 and I tried to cancel on January 7 the woman on the phone was so pushy in making me keep that appointment it was unbelievable. Like geez can I figure out my schedule first before I give you a different date. It was like either her way or nothing. It’s really not the end of the world if I’m trying to reschedule an appointment i’m not just sitting home day and night waiting for a call to confirm an appointment from you guys.
We love our doctors and staff at pediatric healthcare. They are kind and respectful. My son has been their patient since he was born and he will be for many more years
I am truly so happy we chose this office for our children. Every single staff member is amazing, from their front desk, nurses and all the doctors. We even moved and stayed at the same office choosing to drive 35-40min for a visit because we just feel comfortable with our children being seen here.
I had a poor experience with a pediatric physician several years ago which made me hesitant to trust another physician with my children, and that’s coming from a nurse. A friend recommended Pediatric Health Care - I cannot say one negative thing about the practice - I absolutely love them and I am forever grateful to find this amazing and caring team of physicians and office staff..
My kids have been patients here for 18+ years and the physicians and staff are amazing!! Always so responsive and flexible at getting my kids in for appointments. Excellent medical care, compassionate and caring.
