Pediatric Research of Charlottesville in conjunction with Pediatric Associates of Charlottesville is committed to pediatric clinical research.
Pediatric Associates of Charlottesville in conjunction with Pediatric Research of Charlottesville is committed to pediatric clinical research. We have four full time Clinical Research Coordinators who assists our physicians who serve as Principal Investigators and Sub-Investigators on clinical trials.
We feel that children have unique health care needs and that pediatric clinical research provides new knowledge to the scientific community about how to better meet the future health care needs of children.
Clinical trials are carefully designed studies involving patient volunteers who may receive investigational treatments, vaccines or nutritional supplements under close physician supervision. We are currently enrolling subjects in the following studies:
Healthy 12 to 15 month old children for an MMR vaccine study.
Healthy 10 to 17 year old children for a Meningococcal B vaccine study.
Children 1 year and up who have conjunctivitis (pink eye) for an eye drop study.
Children 0 to 24 months who have RSV for a device only study.
Children 4 to 11 years old who have asthma and are regularly maintained on inhaled corticosteroids.
For more information about any of these studies or about clinical trials in general please contact Pediatric Research of Charlottesville, at 434-872-9384.
