Losing our mom was one of the most painful events of our lives, but working with Peel Funeral Home made the journey a little less painful. We have used them through the years for many loved ones. Brint and Lisa are two of the kindest, warm people. They truly care about the family and take great care of the loved ones that passed.
Update: The owner reached out after our experience and went above and beyond to make things right. I am so very impressed with the responsiveness and caring that i received about my review. I can tell there is a lot of pride that comes from this company. I probably shouldnt have been so quick to judge the whole company off of one guy. I know my grandma is very happy we took her to them. I didn't have the heart to give one star because they took such good care of my uncle in 2003. We definitely should have gone somewhere else. We had the displeasure of dealing with Rick, this man is in the wrong business. We wore face masks to the consultation even though we have all tested negative for covid recently. He said some insensitive things but we just rolled our eyes later. He told us that we could go to the crematorium to say goodbye to my grandma but she would be behind glass because she was covid positive and that he would be in the room with her, we did not wear masks to the crematorium because the only people going were the ones that lived in the same house. When we arrived Rick was sitting on the couch in front and proceeded to YELL at my grieving family for "endangering his life" by not wearing masks. The unprofessionalism of this man had no end. When it was time to pick up the ashes we waited for a call that they were back at the funeral home but never recieved one, so we called them. He proceeded to ARROGANTLY snap at my mom again for "taking so long to pick up the ashes that he had to wait." I'm sure my mom loved being kicked while she was down, especially after losing her mother. She would not let me go with her to pick up my grandma because I was furious at the constant disrespect and she didnt want there to be an issue. When she arrived the place was totally dark and she couldn't find anybody, after walking around for a bit Rick opened a door and promptly said "WELL ARE YOU COMING IN!?" She paid and left devastated and carrying the ashes of her mother. This man is a disgrace and I would not trust him with the remains of roadkill. If you value your mental health STAY AWAY from this place. As if losing two loved ones to covid wasnt traumatic enough.
The funeral home and chapel were nice. However, I would NEVER order flowers through their 'direct delivery' service advertised on their website. I was charged $9 for a service fee, which was unexpected, since they say free delivery. I ordered a $100 yellow and white spray piece and got a tiny pink and orange vase of flowers. I had to SEARCH the flower arrangements to find the one I ordered because not only the arrangement was wrong, the size was TOTALLY ridiculous for the money we paid! I thought it hadn't been delivered. Total disappointment and no way to complain to the florist because I don't know who did them. If there was anyway to include photos here, I would,...just to prove my point.

I wasn’t very impressed with the professional conduct and service of the mortuary. The owner was cocky and rude in his comments and behavior towards the family throughout the ordeal.
They are so amazing. The Murdock family would be lost without them.
