Pegboard Press is a small, independently run printmaking studio space in the heart of Toledo, OH dedicated to education and instruction in print media.
Hi everyone! My name is Ian J. Welch, and I am an artist living in Toledo, OH. I'm passionate about printmaking and making the process more accessible to the community in Toledo. When I'm not at my studio, I can be found around Detroit and/or trying to pet all of the dogs. Drop me a line sometime -- I love collaborating with fellow artists and Toledoans.
Pegboard Press is located on the second floor of Gathered Gallery and Studios in the historic Warehouse District of downtown Toledo, with two vintage printing presses set up to work with various traditional printmaking methods including intaglio, monoprint, relief and bookmaking.
A bit on my background: I graduated with my Master of Fine Arts degree in Printmaking from Northern Illinois University after earning my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Bowling Green State University. I've had the pleasure to have my work featured in multiple exhibitions throughout the US including in Philadelphia, New York City, Pittsburgh, St. Louis, Atlanta, and Portland, as well as numerous exhibitions throughout Northwest Ohio. I am currently represented by Gathered Gallery and Studios and additionally employed as an instructor at Adrian College located in Adrian, MI along with Owens Community College in Perrysburg, OH.
