I seriously hadn't sat down in the dining room and ate in for 25 years. The food is delicious and consistent. The service was amazing. The decor could use freshen up for sure but don't let that matter at all. Free pots of tea and courteous service made it all. Highly recommend if you're around in the area.Food: 5/5

DISGUSTING! I’ve never had food that taste so nasty. The broccoli taste unwashed! Chicken was fat a slimy. Food had no seasoning. I’ve never seen chicken and broccoli with dark orange sauce. I should’ve known it was going to be bad when I seen the green beans sitting on the bar right next to some high lighters and the owner. Unacceptable!

We had our dinner here. The prices were very reasonable and the portion sizes were good. The staff was attentive and very friendly. Our table was a little small for the party size, but that was made up for by the flavors and freshness of the food we had. I will be eating here again, this is a hidden gem.

03/28/22, I came up to Hanover to spend a few days with my son on his 26th birthday, After an hour of searching and reading reviews, we decided have dinner at this location, the food was great , Saki tasted watered down, but it was ok. Service was great... Update: 03/29/22, the food was soo good we went back for dinner the next night and we were disappointed!

Went here with my boyfriend the other night on a date. We were seated quickly, and given hot tea. Our food came out very quickly and it was very hot, and the portions are huge! Well worth the price. My wonton soup was superb as well. Our waitress was fantastic, kind, and attentive. This place is one of a kind. We will definitely come back as often as we can!

My new favorite restaurant in Mechanicsville. I've lived in Mechanicsville my whole life. So I've been to nearly every restaurant and fast food place in the area. Peking is one of those older gems that you wish more people appreciated and took notice of. Pro's: FREE TEA! Really, need I say more? Just kidding. While the tea is a wonderful bonus that we always appreciate, the food is absolutely amazing. I've never NOT had great food or service at this restaurant. No matter what I get, the portions are always huge and I always have leftovers. Always. My two favorite dishes are the Crispy Duck and Happy Family, though the wing and rib appetizers are also really good. My only complaint would be that I wish the dishes had more sauce I've asked, they usually bring out a side of uncooked sauce that doesn't taste the same. Service: The staff is always very friendly and polite. I've never had any complaints over any staff member before. Cons: As much as I hate to list a con, there is one that really needs to be brought up. Decor. This establishment has been around for a long, long time... and it looks it. The decor really needs to be updated, or if anything, they need to fix everything that's obviously broken. The booths and curtains are torn. The tables are cracked. The wallpaper is peeling. And the ceiling tiles are disgusting. Please, please update your decor so this restaurant can shine as much as it deserves.

I love everything they make. Never had a wrong order, always friendly and very fast. The restaurant is clean and quiet and the staff is very helpful. I can not say enough good things about their food, especially their soup selection. Outstanding. 10/10 everytime.Food: 5/5

Fantastic Chinese food. The gentleman that was working the takeout window was very kind. The food was cooked quickly, was fresh, and hot. The Imperial Chicken, Orange Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and Chicken, Lo Mein were all delicious. I will definitely return.
