Ate there a few months ago 7/2008, and had a nice meal. Sushi was fresh and well prepared; cooked food was nicely done. Prices were average. Decor was better than average. There was a wait of about 10 minutes, as it was pretty busy Saturday, late afternoon -- and there were a ton of young adults read: 20-somethings there. Is there a college nearby? That said, the patrons that day were kinda' loud, but not horribly so.
Peking Tokyo makes some of the best sushi around! Every time I go I try a different roll, and they are always top-notch and fresh. You have to try their Pink Lady Roll! The restaurant is always super clean, which is important when dealing with sushi. I would definitely recommend Peking Tokyo!
I've eaten here multiple times, usually the food is standard. However, the other night I can't even explain what I ate. I very much suspect that there are serious issues with the owners/employees/family members. I think some nights the 'children' are running the show, including "cooking." I don't know how else to explain the extreme difference in quality. What I ordered was their "triple delight" beef, chicken, and shrimp with 'vegetables'. I got what appeared and tasted like someone deep fried turkey giblets or some other incredibly suspect product. There were 4 pieces of broccoli in the container. It was hands down the most disgusting thing I've ever seen, people have had better meals on fear factor. I threw 90% of it in the trash because it was so horrible. I will never eat here again.
Yuck! This is the first time in my life I can say that I sat down at a restaurant and within 3 minutes, I had left. The guy that seated us hadn't washed or brushed his hair in days, he had 3 days worth of scruff on his face and OPEN TOED sandles!! Then we get our menu, and it's this 2 sided thing, not the 3-4 page menu I remember getting there. we haven't been there for a while, prob a year. And there were only 2 other customers in there not a good sign. My gut feeling told me to RUN! Never again will we go back. It's a shame because I remember it being so much nicer.
My girlfriend's plate had visible crusted on dirt on her plate. You could actually feel the difference if you ran your fingers along it. The serving portions were small compared to the price. We were the only customers and they forgot my gf's salad and miso soup, and ended up only giving her the salad after we said something. Lastly, I'm not a picky eater at all and I always finish what i order, but even i couldnt stomach their nabeyaki ? Udon and the fortune cookies were stale.
We have been looking for a good sushi restaurant in the Vineland/Milllville area and have tried a few other places. This place is better than all of them hands down. The wait staff is pleasant and prompt, the sushi is fresh and the miso soup is awesome. We will be heading back to this place frequently!
I ordered shrimp & broccoli in garlic sauce and the broccoli had a foul smell....as if reheated several times. The place was empty. I should have known then... this place was not up to sanitary codes.
Food quality was good, but when I went in on one occasion, I paid for the take out and they kept my change even though it was just under 20 cents. Wow..... and I didn't even get a fortune cookie with it.
My favorite sushi spot hands down. Also the pineapple fried rice with shrimp is amazing <3
Always great Sushi rolls. Spicy Salmon is my favorite. Great service.
