Pelican Wine & Spirits

Our visit to the Pelican Ranch winery was motivated by hearing a group play there on a Saturday afternoon. It was a good call as the wines were excellent. A surprise was the individual pizzas known as Bronx-Style Pizza and made by the owner Phil. Very tasty and made for a good lunch, going well with the reds. It's a modest tasting room, with a nice out-door atmosphere among the trees. Getting to this location can be a bit tricky as you follow a narrow winding and sometimes one-lane road Bean Creek Road in a heavily forested area. Not a lot of signage, so keep a watch for the yellow sign.

Pinot Noir is my favorite and Pelican Ranch has several that I love. Wine maker, Phil, knows these California wines very well and loves to share his knowledge. Go, it's good.

What a fabulous environment to sit inside or out in the garden/vineyard and enjoy Pelican's nice variety of wines.

My favorite winery on this planet. Great chardonnays and pinots. The best.

The attention is excellent and the wines are the best in the area.
