Great therapists and counselors in Port Angeles and Sequim! Support mental health in Clallam County
I'm giving 4 stars because the first therapist I was set up with a couple of years ago was definitely not a right fit for me. The therapist I was set up with this most recent time though seems like a perfect fit. They are knowledgeable, kind, and understanding. It can get a bit overwhelming in the lobby with people being loud and obnoxious, walking around, talking loudly on their cellphones, etc... but if you tell the people at the front desk to have your therapist come get you from the parking lot, they will. It's also worth noting that not all therapists work with every patient. Sometimes, it takes a bit to find the right person. Good luck to everyone who needs some help with what they're dealing with!
Excellent staff, very professional. Everyone is friendly, easy to talk to, and knowledgeable. I've gone to a handful of therapists before, and never really felt like it helped until I went to PBH. I trust them. Flexible schedules. Pharmacy is fast and well stocked. Couldn't ask for a better experience, no complaints at all.
This place is top notch. The mental health treatment here is better than Houston TX, which is a major medical Center. The therapy is very helpful, medical management is exemplary Meg Depew!! And the place is run with precision, and is an overall professional class act. PBH has without a doubt contributed to my better life. The pharmacy is the best as well!
The best place, I have ever encounter. This clinic has Professional, loving , caring and compassionate Mental Heath Therapists, Nursing , and Psychiatric Services’s - for Men women and children. There are Pharmacy, Crisis, and Respite services with excellent patient care, dedicated and Responsible staff for your neeeds.
Really busy place, not taking private insurance patients. They mainly deal with Medicaid patients, who get first priority, due to a state contract. Professionalism of support staff is lacking, communication is generally poor, unless you are an existing patient. Was dis appointed that it took several calls to get the explanation as to why they weren't taking private insurance. They WILL NOT recommend other practices in town, and will tell you to use google.
Wonderful therapists. They're very kind and compassionate but can take a long time to get an appt. The waiting room can make you feel nervous and annoying with some of the people walking around or listening to cell phones on speaker.
Many employees in high positions are corrupt and are image obsessed instead of care-oriented. There is no quality control for employees because of this and this makes what could be a great service to this community for mental health untrustworthy. Many laws are broken and care/health compromised with those in charge turning their eyes to these things.
As a teen, I was forced to go here and have sessions with my father. The counselor condoned his abusive behavior that he and I disclosed in sessions and did not do what he was mandated by law to do. My father still has toxic behavior patterns to this day, and I will emphasize this situation made it a lot worse than it already was. I don’t remember the counselor’s name, but I hope by some miracle he is no longer practicing.
I worked for PBH for a few months before I quit. I couldn’t believe the complete lack of respect the clients were shown. They were spoke to like they were children, not adults battling mental illness, mocked and made fun of. Myself and a coworker brought this to our supervisor and higher up to management and nothing we said was heard. It’s just how it is there.
