love the positive environment and atmosphere. Usually there is a wait, i’ve waited up to 15 minutes just to check in, 30 minutes just to get back, and another 30 just to be seen. even with arriving on time. this is understandable as all medical facilities are still in a pandemic and trying to recover from what they’ve endured so far. my visit today started at 8:15am and ended at 9:40am. I was glad to see they were training two new front desk associates so hopefully will improve wait times. younger front desk staff was immaculate, aside from the young blonde with glasses who sassed an older man waiting in the slow line to check in, and the oldest lady who was lazy and not attentive as she was playing around on her computer upon arrival before helping the extensive line of patients. even the kind young lady who checked me in acknowledged the older lady was dawdling. needless to say excited for new staff, trainees seemed eager and personable! Love Nicole Cook she is understanding and works with you.
I have used this facility since they opened. Times have changed in the time they have been opened. I use this facility for my Mammogram, Blood work and Dr. Boyd in Gynecology. Since COVID the waiting time for blood work does take longer no matter what time you visit facility. The last visit they were training new people. I have never had a rude staff at front desk cannot say the same about people waiting. Yes, it has taken me longer with blood work, not yearly Mammogram within 15 minutes after signing in. Dr. Boyd, sign in staff, staff working with Dr. Boyd have always treated me with respect and I have never waited more than 30 minutes. My mind set lately is no matter where I visit I expect that I will be waiting. Do I like it NO, but I refuse to being upset on something I cannot control. I never visit the Lab when it first opens as many there are on the way to work and I am retired. Penn State Internal Medicine, Cocoa Ave., Hershey has the same situation. Hiring staff has become a real challenge for everyone. Thank you staff for doing your best during these very difficult times.
Horrible experience as soon as I walked through the door. I waited 10 minutes just to be checked in for my appointment and then the receptionist was very rude. After seeing my doctor for the 2nd time she informed me that she lost my blood work results from our last visit which was 6 months go and it should have been 3 months ago She had nothing sooner available however she asked to see if I could bring my blood work results up on my phone for her to review. Wow!! Really!!! I would give 0 stars if I could! I even called patient advocate for help and support but I have not heard back from anyone.
Dr Farooq, kidney doctor, very pleasant and thorough. Dr Wilson, heart doc, very kind, thorough and detailed. Eichenburger, excellent dermatologist, The technicians who do my sonograms and echos are very kind and thorough. All my appointments here have been exceptional.
People expect too much. It's a doctors office, sometimes there's a wait, sometimes there's not. Just expect one. I've been coming here for over a year and am overall satisfied. There's been a small thing here and there but I wouldn't change offices. Staff is friendly
We love Dr Hale from pediatric endocrinology. He is fantastic with my son and so patient with him. He is always in an upbeat mood. Always answers questions and concerns I have. I don't feel rushed at appointments. As much as I wish we didn't have to come every 6 months this is one appointment that is always a good experience. My son has been a patient of his for a little over three years. We are very lucky to have him as his doctor.
I went here to get lab work done. I am a VERY hard stick and I always make sure I let them know so they put me with an experienced phlebotomist. Although I could tell she was a little nervous, because she realized I really was a hard stick not just some patient saying that, she did a great job and got with only 2 tries compared to my usual 5+. She was very friendly and knew what she was doing....kudos
Dr. Pistilli is incredible. I’ve never had a doctor who truly listened and hear what I have to say about my concerns. She was patient, understanding, and did everything she could to help me. She made me feel so comfortable during my visit and did not rush me like other doctors have in the past. Absolutely love her and will continue to keep her as my provider. Love Pennstate Medical group
I see several doctors who are through the Penn State Hershey Medical Center and I feel that all of them are great at least the doctors that I see.
I never write negative reviews but this one is deserved. Waited 6 months for a dermatologist appointment. Doctors could not have been nicer or more attentive. Only wish that I would have been told that they were going to "double bill ". One set of charges for Hershey Medical Center and one set for the physician. Hershey Medical Center is a fantastic facility but they need to tell patients that there are going to be additional charges. If they want to charge hospital rates then patients should be told that so they can decide if they want to use their services. I will not be using a Penn State Health outpatient facility again. Penn State Health should be ashamed of this billing practice. Wish I would have read these reviews before going to my appointment.
