Food was great, service was great. But we sat down to eat around 7:30pm tonight and some girl started rudely moving chairs and tables around as if they were about to close. My husband and I couldn't even have a conversation she was being so loud. Plus, she picked up the rug by the front door and waved it around right by our table where we were eating....gross! She kept making weird eye contact with us too as if we were the issue. Not the atmosphere I would want to eat in again.
I ordered online. I created a sandwhich after reading what comes on the Dagwood. The options only said to select your meats. When I got home there were only meats... no cheese or veggies and when I called they said they were aware of the system and that it was neither their or my fault. I'm getting refunded for this sandwich. However... it seems neglectful to me that you are aware of the system and it's flaws, and when orders like this come in you don't call and ask. I worked in a restaurant for years, when you get an odd online order YOU CALL. You double check before wasting your time and theirs. This was my first and last time ever having Penn Station. Go to JimmyJohn's.
If possible, I'd leave a −10 for this place. I ordered the Turkey and guacamole wrap. I was watching the guy prepare my Sandwich when I saw him take his pocket knife out of his pocket to open the guacamole packet! This was gross and unsanitary! I called him out on it and told him I didn't want that packet because that was unsanitary So walks just a few feet and gets a pair of scissors to cut it open should've done this to begin with. As I'm standing there watching him prepare my food, he's talking to the employee next to him and she takes her hand and swipes it over my sandwich wrap. I don't know if she had just done something gross on her hand or what, But she wasn't even involved in preparing my food. So I found the manager and told him. I just wabted a refund. He said he would " get onto him for it". I would avoid this place at all costs!
I’m honestly surprised this place hasn’t been shut down by the health department. I mean this place is beyond scuzzy and gross, you must have to pay extra for a clean table. I joke not with you on this, every single table was covered in filth from just general nastiness to waste left by past customers. Everything is coated in a film in sticky dirt and just pure filth, the floors look as if they’ve never seen a mop and the staph looks as if they’ve never heard of one. The trash cans overflowing onto the floor is also unacceptable! For your health and safety avoid this location.
Absolutely a great place to grab a bite to eat. Staff here are awesome and the owner is too!Food: 5/5
Excellent tasting food for a good price I recommend trying this place out
Amazing staff always polite!! It’s nice to see a group of people working together to provide great customer service.Food: 5/5
I love the sandwiches here. But they were slow in the service. However, I believe, by my observation that it was more due to lack of people to work. The food is always good, hot and served with a smile. They were very polite and that makes up for the wait to order.
I'm terribly disappointed with this place, the quality of the sub I hot was so bad compared to the online pictures, with 2 little drops of mayonnaise inside the sub, quality of the fries were also bad, the fries i got mostly still had alot of the potato skin on it, and they were soggy, not crispy. Id give this place a 3/10, the only good thing was their drinks. I even removed the fries from the cup, and not suprisingly, the fries were stuck together and soggy. I forgot to add this before, but I also saw a piece of red hair in my sub, and my hair is brown, so it can even be mine. I don't normally write reviews, but I had to give this one a piece of my mind.
Small portions and high prices. Really? $11 for 3 pieces of bacon, three thinly sliced pieces of tomato, a children's handful of lettuce, and a dash of fries? Don't even get me started on the stinginess of the mayo. All after waiting 15 minutes to eat. Never again.
