Burrough-Dover House1710/1793
The 300 year old, native sandstone, colonial Quaker farmhouse includes a small museum of nostalgia and stands on beautiful grounds that include a nature trail, ample parking and space for festivals and special events.
The oldest organization devoted to local history in Pennsauken Township has served the community as a resource for the history, heritage and memory of the people of Pennsauken and the story of our area for almost 50 years.
Four regularly scheduled open-house events are offered to the community and anyone interested in history and heritage, open and free of any admission charge:
Spring Festival in May
Flag Day Commemoration in June
Apple Festival in September
Holiday Open House in November
Burrough-Dover House is also open to the public for tours on the first Sunday of each month from March through December unless a change is announced, generally from 1pm to 4pm. New events outside our regular schedule will be announced on this page and in "All Around Pennsauken."
In addition, Pennsauken Historical Society offers a program of historical interest at its annual membership meeting in September--also open and free of charge.
Pennsauken Historical Society also opens the doors of Burrough-Dover House for tours by appointment and for field trips by schools and organizations.
