Penny's Diner

Took my twins there for their birthday breakfast. Penny's has always been a favorite! My daughter ordered the stuffed French toast.....oh my goodness! The picture is of the strawberry filled, which was good but needed a bit of sugar added to the filling. The waitress brought a sample of their blueberry filling....THAT was heavenly!

Portions were generous for the prices, wait staff Kim was very accommodating but a tad slow all. We weren't the only ones waiting for service. Bottom of biscuits were burnt, but fluffy w good flavor, fresh real butter.

I went there for breakfast and had a great time. I ordered the full biscuits and gravy WAY TOO BIG FOR ONE PERSON and one hot cake again SO BIG!!! They were both so tasty and were great left over. My husband ordered the Chicken fried steak and it was perfectly ground up meat battered and fried just how he likes it. Not chewy or grisly like some can be. We are going to try the burgers next.

Real cute Americana diner. Never had biscuits and gravy so gave it a try. I'll stick to hash browns and toast next time. Overall pleasant and clean but a bit pricey and they charge extra for the coffee with breakfast!

We have been to a lot of the breakfast places in town and have become regulars at Penny's . The prices are good, the food is good and the staff is always polite and funny. Even when they are busy we get good service and have never waited more than a few minutes, and we go there between 2-4 days per week, pretty much every week too much, I know. The food we order is nothing special as far as a recipe, we get the basics, but we have gotten that other places and they are good too but a typical breakfast doesn't justify a very high price tag as some of the other places have placed on it. I'm guessing that's one of the reasons that people can afford to go to Penny's several times a week as many do. We see a lot of the same faces over and over. Paulette's is good, but we have always had to wait, and the prices are too high. Charlie's is good, but the prices are too high and the service is lacking. Humpty's is too big and commercialized and very loud, food was fine. Keep up the good work Penny's!

One star because the food has improved over the previous owner. But that's it. Waitress was drop-dead sick with a brutal cold, dripping coughing etc all over the room, nonstop[. Looked like she was going to pass out. There is no way at all she should have been working and infecting what is typically a senior clientele. And she said she has been working that way for a week. That is a total disregard for patrons. Prices are well higher 15% - 20% than the local competition for the same food. No WiFi, another lack of regard for customers since many people now read their morning papers this way. Who doesn't have WiFi in a breakfast joint? Utensils are like a doll house, the cheapest most flimsy toys you can imagine, really impacts the dining experience. But overall, this absolute lack of concern for customers by having a very sick server - forget it.

Very comfortable environment. Everyone was nice and friendly. The food is well priced and unbelievably tasty. They serve breakfast all day and mine and nice and fresh when it came out. Definitely making this a regular stop

My Doctor told me I wasn't getting enough gravy in my diet. Breakfast of biscuits & gravy, two fried eggs and gravy infested chicken fried steak never disappoints. Fair prices and smiling faces ! !

Always loved pennys diner so i took my girls for their birthday lunch. I was so disapointed. The hash was tough and my burger was raw. I wont be back again. Up to this visit its always been a 5 rating now its barely a 1.

Breakfast or brunch, wether a healthy or meal and fruit or a nutritious omelette, everything is fresh, good customer service
