We like penske. Not the sioux falls location. We booked well in advance. They called me the day before and said they had no truck. Needed to send someone to nebraska to pick it up. That next morning we had to wait. I asked if it was serviced told yes. We were driving from sturgis wyoming to Utah and got stuck on a hill in Wyoming one way traffic. Called penske 4 times! Told someone would be there to fix the truck in 45 minutes. 1 and a half hours later the mechanic found the hose had a hole in it. Once he cut the damaged part off we were on the road again but the truck is not picking up the speed it had when we 1st drove off with it. We have had to rent an extra hotel room in Nevada because we can't drive this truck past 40mph. We should have made it to our destination already. We paid thousands of dollars to rent this truck. We will be seeking a discount!

We had a hiccup with our rental truck at Uhaul so we called Penske, and they got us a truck immediately. We worked with Zach and he is absolutely amazing! He stayed in constant communication with us on the day prior to picking up the truck and the vehicle ran perfectly the 1,400 miles we drove it. What an awesome moving experience. I highly recommend using Penske for all of your moving needs!!
As usual Penske personal department are top notch, I was located in Kadoka SD, I STOP to fuel and came to find out I had by some unknown circumstance had blown a outside rear tire on my trailer, the only thing left was two sidewalls, I contacted road service and as it should be they went into protect our client mode, to make a long story short Penske did what was expected of them and got me back on the road making money, i was in the middle of NOWHERE, and Penske pop that BOTTLE and got me moving ASAP, like i said PENSKE IS THE BIG DOGS OF THE CLASS 8 TRUCK RENTAL INDUSTRY AND THATS A FACT.
Simple online form, no line when I picked up or dropped off the truck moving between states, and cost effective. I have never had a good experience with u-haul and Penske was superior. Not one to leave reviews, but this was such a step above the competition that they deserve a little recognition. Moving is tough enough, make truck rental simple.
This company helped me out big time! I called a day in advance after being $&@!ed by U Haul and they shined! I will forever use penske trucks for anything I may need them for. Thank You!
I have been using Penske for my various relocation and they never let me down. I got a truck with cruise control, lane departure warning, and distance monitoring makes my drive much easier.
I may update if my trip gets better. They wouldn't let me tow my vehicle or trailer it. My car was "too heavy." Too heavy?!! I could understand the wheel base is too long or the axle needs to be disengaged, but too heavy for a truck! I can tow a house with my Ford p/u but I can't tow my mini van with a Penske. Update: In response to Penske's response - yes, that is exactly my point. The equipment does not have the torque to pull a minivan. It also does not get 10 mpg or have a side step to get up in the cab. They don't rent a dolly, hand truck or a furniture dolly Google search to view the difference. They offer an appliance dolly. A big, bulky, heavy, dolly with a short foot. That once loaded with a stack of boxes, must lean back into you inorder to stay on. And all that weight is impossible to pull up the extremely short, steep ramp that the Penske truck offers, solo. Most items we had to lift, one at a time, into the truck. And thank goodness we didn't have much, because the trucks cargo box is very short. The cubic feet is much smaller than others in it's size. I will update more when our trip is over.
Great service, helped explain how to load our car onto the dolly and explained how to turn with a large truck and dolly pulling behind. Without a doubt, we'll be using Penske next time to move.
Closed on weekends, if your delivering a truck be there before 11pm. Excellent service, thanks Stephan.
